Villa del Pescador - 40896 Zihuatanejo

The hotel staff make you feel like family. They are very helpful and accommodating. Ask them anything and they'll help you. We eat at the restaurant almost every night, because the food is delicious and authentic. They'll make you pretty much anything you can imagine with advance notice. The hotel is close to the central party of town, but it's a 12 minute walk on a cobble stone drive. Closer than hotels in the other side of the bay.

A bit of a wilted flower. This boutique hotel has an absolutely gorgeous view of the bay. The rooms are large, unfortunately the furnishings and fixtures are old and unmaintained. Cleanliness could be improved. We visited in March and dusty Christmas decorations were still hanging from rusty ceiling fans in the dining room. The staff are polite and accomodating. We stayed a few nights but found better value for our dollar elsewhere.

Extremely satisfied. For our family vacation, we wanted to stay somewhere that offered upscale type amenities without paying the Club Med price. This location was both secluded and safe, yet just a walking distance from the city, restaurants and shops. The hospitality was great, Damian was sweet and helpful everyday we were there. The room was spacious and unique. The AC was a savior. The three of us had plenty of room even though the room is typically reserved for two. The pool and jacuzzi were an added benefit for when we didn't feel like heading out. The views amplified the feeling of tranquility. The only reasons why I didn't give the location 5 stars was because of the maintenance. The location is a little dated but we noticed the owners were making renovations while we were there. For the price and distance, this place met all our needs. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Very decent place if your on vacation. The place has a few things that I personally disliked, for example, at the restaurant you can only pay in cash, very difficult when you have to do expense reports. But overall for the stay is very decent. Why three stars? Because of the food issue, they do not disinfect the rooms as they should.

Zihuatanejo is heaven on earth and Ville del Pescador added Mexican charm and beauty to our stay. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff who work there who made our vacation fabulous.

Great pool, lovely exercise program... stairs, stairs and more stairs. Love my room. Great view. NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE.

I love this place especially all the way up on the third floor with my ocean view suite personal jacuzzi. Unfortunately there's no hot water in the jacuzzi so could be a shock getting into it cold but you get use to it like being in a pool under a shade all day. I was here in late January and perfect for catching the sunrise in my jacuzzi and watching the fisherman going in and out of the bay. With my camera and eyes I can see the view all the way from La Principal pier, La Madera, La Ropa and Los Gatos beach. It's peaceful and just a walk away from downtown where it's too busy. There's also a restaurant downstairs by the main pool. Nice service even though I didn't speak Spanish but thank goodness I was able to use their wifi to get my goggles translator to communicate with them. Definitely will be back.

This place was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend it! Its off the beaten path, so there is a bit of a walk. Maybe 7 minutes to the plaza and restaurants/ beaches. There are a few restaurants steps from the hotel on the same street and the hotel also has a little restaurant inside with a few tables. Menu is pretty small but if you are looking for a relaxing night in your room it’s perfect! The room The room we reserved had a mini pool on the patio which faced the bay. It was a gorgeous view. It had a king sized bed and a sectional! There is also a mini fridge perfect for some extra drinks! The staff The staff was so very helpful and highly attentive! Room service was available and always super quick! Cannot wait to return!!
