Villa La Estancia Beach Resort & Spa Riviera Nayarit - 63732 Nuevo Vallarta

My wife and I just had a baby. We booked a nice suite at Estancia as it's the last trip before my wife returns to work from maternity leave and for my friends' wedding. I booked a reservation in February 2022 for April 2022 for the wedding/vacation that took place at the hotel. The wedding party booked at least 20 rooms at this hotel. I got an email seven days before my reservation that stated to call them. Once I did, they told me, " Oh, sorry, your room is no longer available as it's being "repaired." Working for the travel industry in the past means we overbooked the hotel. Someone else paid more for your room, so we will give it to them. They offered me three choices cancel, move my dates or put me in their lower-end hotel 40 minutes away. I explained to them the only reason I am staying here is for my friend's wedding as all activities are in the hotel. As a "4 Diamond Hotel," I would have expected an apology for hey, we just destroyed your whole trip. Sorry for giving away your room. Here is some future credit. Instead, I got transferred three times and was sorry nothing we could do. This did not just happen to me. It happened to others at the wedding party. So now we are seven days before the wedding, and our flights with no place to stay as almost all hotels are booked during this week. So if you are planning a wedding or a nice vacation, look elsewhere or run the risk of your room being "repaired." Of all the years of traveling worldwide, it's the first time I have had such a horrible experience with a hotel. We go twice a year to Puerto Vallarta, and I will never stay with this brand. Sorry for my rant. I want to warn future travelers so this does not happen to you.

The place was very accommodating and amazing! They provided a wheelchair for me for the eight days that I was vacationing and hurt my foot terribly bad. The staff, especially Fidel, cheered me on the still celebrate where I was and enjoy myself! Thank you!!

Booked a suite for our honeymoon eight months ago, showed up today to an overbooked hotel and zero ability to help us coordinate a room. They tried to comp our "all inclusive fee" and put us in a room by the machine room, their way of making up for it. Normally would not let this ruin our trip but it is our honeymoon and they could care less. Kept us in the lobby for over an hour as we attempted to get our refund, the manager walked away after two minutes of conversation and had the poor hostess deal with all of it, she was great and the only help we had from the staff, we expected the manager to at the very least offer us water but nothing. Just a long way of saying that they ruined the beginning of our honeymoon, didn't care to offer any type of service, and they completely screwed two of the most forgiving and kind humans. Takes a lot for us to give one star, in fact this is the only one star review we have to give - thoroughly disappointed ?

I rarely complain about accommodations (I typically choose cheap and affordable so I was expecting superb service here at this 5 star resort). When I initially reserved the room, I marked that I'd need an early check-in. I arrived at 2pm and was told the room was almost ready. I went to eat came back at 3pm and was told the room was almost ready. I sat down and used my phone. 3:30 someone came to us to check if we had already been helped and then returned again and said the room was almost ready. At 4pm, they said "it'll take 5 more minutes".... excuse me? Check-in time is 3pm. My early requested check-in was not accommodated though I was never contacted. The normal check-in time was made impossible. An hour late check-in was still not possible. I generally have pretty low standards but this meets the bottom. Don't stay here. 2 hours in a humid lobby with sticky leather couches and one receptionist serving all guests is a horrendous experience.

We just had the best week ever at Villa La Estancia where we stayed for my son's wedding. The resort itself is clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food there and at Flamingos was superb. Do yourself a favor and get the all inclusive package. The pool was great and the beach was beautiful. It was the end of whale season and we saw a couple off in the distance. Overall, maybe our best vacation for everything.

Beautiful property and nice staff. The checking process was a long and the shower (at least in our rooms) needed fixing. There are tents on the beach where you can get good massages at an affordable price, more than 5 times cheaper (or even cheaper) than the Spa in the hotel. The pool at is good for kids and this place has a bunch of hot tubs, facing the ocean, for adults,

I would give this place a 4 or a 5 but there were too many issues checking in and checking out for me and everyone who attended my wedding. Check in took between 30 minutes and an hour for most of the people in my party, some took longer and the rooms were not even ready. They had only one desk that handled checking in and out and most other issues, there definitely should have been more. They majorly messed up payments and room reservations for my wedding, ending up with them packing up my new in-laws possessions to remove them even though we had coordinated adding another night when we arrived and that was confirmed. The food and drinks were great, the waiters were all wonderful. The ground and views are great as well. Poolside service needed some work because it took hour to track someone down, order, and finally receive food and drinks.

This place is not only located right on a beautiful beach, but the pool areas and restaurants are truly top notch. I cannot say enough about the hotel staff, from the porters to the waiters to the room cleaners, everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and valued. There are lots of activities going on within the resort as well directly outside on the beach. Definitely a great vacation.
