★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Noemi Laffitte is a wonderful hostess! I highly recommend staying in one her studios in La Christina, Ajijic. Super convenient location few steps from a bus stop with buses every 5-10 min going everywhere lakeside and also to Guadalajara. 5 minutes by bus to balneario in San Juan Cosala, 10 minutes to Ajijic Centro. Quiet and peaceful countryside, beautiful gardens with flowers and fruit trees around the house (you can pick some fruit!). I spent a month in the top floor studio that had amazing private terrace. That's the best asset!!! You can enjoy the view of the mountains and the lake, and the breezes from the lake. Very safe location if that's a concern. Noemi is a great person, she was very helpful and attentive to my needs, she treated me like family. I had a very pleasant stay. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been renting a casita at Villa Laffitte for almost one year. The landlady, Noemi Laffitte treats all of her tenants like family. Extremely hospitable and friendly. The casitas are very comfortable with all utilities included (except for TV), and they have a fabulous view of the pool and the lovely property, filled with fruit trees and flowers galore! I would recommend Villa Laffitte for short or long-term stays. Close to the bus stop and easy access into town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I do not recommend Villa Laffitte for accommodations for LGBT folks or anyone who values a little comfort and privacy. It IS very reasonably priced, conveniently located and has a lovely swimming pool and beautiful grounds. But the furnishings are only basic and functional, not comfortable or practical and the host doesn't understand the concept of privacy. And the rate was changed for our unit after we arrived.
