Amazing place to stay at left feeling so relaxed!! Beautiful experience over all cant wait to go back soon

Unfortunately, the owner chose to scam us and keep the deposit of 1500$US even though we signed a contract and returned the house in the same condition we found it. We trusted them and the contract and are very disappointed about this behavior.

Beware: They are scammers ! Apart from being a lawyer she owns a house in Tulum and she keeps your deposit even blatantly ignoring you. None of the over 1400 dollar deposit ever came back and it has been months now. Sign of a greedy, ignorant and false person. The worst of the worst. Stay away as far as possible from renting her place. You will never see your deposit again. But what goes around comes around as they say.

Unfortunately the people running this place are fraudulent. We have rented the house for one month from a real estate agent that quit their cooperation with the owners shortly after. We handed it over in perfect condition, but we are being ignored since two months trying to get back our deposit. The owners are not responding to our messages and keeping 1500$ from us. We have signed a contract that entitles us for the deposit, but having a legal fight over it, costs too much money and energy for us. The women’s names are Chelsea, who ironically is lawyer from the states and Magdalena. Very disappointing and sad to see how unscrupulous people are.

We stayed here for one month, and we were generally happy with our stay, there was a few circumstances where agreements such as having cleaning included in the rent suddenly was not the case once we were there and we had to pay for it seperately, whatever, we did no complaints. However, once we vacated the property with zero damages which we even did a full documented video and photos.. Just in case, the owner completley ghosted us. No reply, no nothing. So as it stands our 1500$ is still in her hands. I'm super disappointed as we so respectful of the space and had zero complications during our stay. Also, a heads up, we had three locked bikes stolen from outside the property during our stay, unfortunately there is nowhere safe to really store them unless you want to carry them up and down the stairs each time.

SCAM. Unfortunately I feel I have to spread awareness on a certain level of 'scam' that this place resulted to be. We stayed here for one month, the stay itself was actually nice and without any major issues. However,when we left, which we did without any damage or complaints etc, the owner/manager of the house, chelsea just completley ghosted us, after a few vague messages.she has kept our deposit of 1500$ with no valid reason or excuse. So as she is still completley ignoring all attempts at communication I feel I can only spread awareness now so as others don't fall for this scam.

Don't think it twice, Villa Magdalena is definitely the best option to relax on one of the best beaches in Mexico. The property is incredible and the view from the terrace is unique. In addition, the administration is super friendly. I will definitely stay in Villa Magdalena in the near future!

I stayed over the summer for my birthday.Me and my fiancé had such an amazing time. There was so many things to do in the city and the place was very spacious and relaxing. Definitely thinking about coming again for possibly Christmas this year
