Villa Marilu B & B - 77930 Bacalar

We had such a fantastic stay here. The pictures don’t do the place justice. The property is beautiful and the hosts did everything they could to make our visit special.

The incredible place. The service is inpecable. Eduardo is very helpfull in all aspects. The place is incredibly clean, location is great ( right on the lake ). Eduardo arranged pontoon tour and since we were a little hungry, he arraged very delicious ceviche and guacamole with beer for our trip. All recomendations for places to see and where to eat were perfect. Eduardo even called one of the restaurants to make a reservations for us. In the morning he even surprised us with a nice breakfast on the dock with lake view and sunrise. Not even one negative or neutral thing about this magical place. Would recomend to stay here for everyone !!!

The place is a peaceful paradise, near everything but also quiet. You can easily get a kayak (for free) and explore the laguna - the view is amazing and the position on the laguna is dreamy. It is also very close to the city center and the cenotes. What makes the place even more amazing is Eduardo whose advices were always perfect (all the restaurants and activities he recommended were awesome) and who is more than welcoming and helpful for everything. We just wish to come back one day.

Amazing accommodation with lake view! Eduardo the manager is super polite and welcoming! If you ask he will do anything for you! Definitely the best service I ever experienced in a hotel. Everything is very clean, the staff is very polite and it is very safe!

Just perfect !!! The room we stayed was spacious, extra-clean, with a huge bed and a big terrace overseeing the lagoon... And the private jetty is amazing to swim, tan, relax... Eduardo is an incredible host, always here to ensure you have everything that you need ! We stayed in many hotels/b&bs during our trip in Mexico but this was for sure the best experience we had. We will come back one day for sure !! Thanks again for everything :)

A wonderful piece of paradise What can I tell you about the stay? In principle, I can put it all in one word: PERFECT! About the Villa: The complex is beautiful, very well maintained and with an impressive view of the lagoon. On the jetty you can sunbathe during the day and relax with a cold beer in the evening. The resort has 4 kayaks which you can use for free at any time (with safety waistcoat included). So we were able to enjoy the sunrise with the kayaks on the lagoon. The rooms are very well maintained and you can feel that a lot of love has been put into the complex and the rooms. They are very clean and the room service is very attentive and helpful. The host: Eduardo is an excellent host! We have never experienced such a friendly and caring manner in a hotel as with him. He is always helpful and friendly! No matter if you need a taxi, want to have food delivered, Eduardo is always there for his guests and takes care of everything! We also had very good conversations in general & and understood each other directly. All in all, it was probably the best accommodation we have had so far, with a perfect host. One word is still missing to finish this review: Thank you!

Beautiful place right on the lagoon. Only 4 rooms which is nice because it’s quiet and not busy. Eduardo was lovely and friendly. Great having kayaks and the jeti with sun loungers and hammocks. The only thing I can fault is the tiny fridge in the room - a bigger one would be great to fit at least drink bottles. Highly recommend staying here!
