Pero adolece como varios municipios del Estado de seguridad pública

En la colonia se encuentra un simbolo del escudo de la ciudad el cerro del Piloncillo
Con la construccion de plaza Cibeles y las nuevas avenidas tomo su segundo aire y en la actualidad la mancha urbana la absorbio covirtiedose en la mejor zona para vivir
