En la actualidad, se ha incrementado la importancia de la nutrición responsable debido a la presencia y el aumento de trastornos alimenticios que no sólo impactan en la autoestima, sino que atentan contra la salud. Ejemplo de estos trastornos es la obesidad.
La Dra. María Magdalena Tovar Zavala es la fundadora de los Consultorios VT dedicados al tratamiento del sobrepeso y obesidad, tomando como base su preparación profesional en medicina y siguiendo la normatividad aplicable para el tratamiento del sobrepeso.
En el año 1983, cuando terminó su carrera como médico cirujano y partero en el Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN Cédula 1069189), le surgió la preocupación por uno de los principales problema de salud pública que existía y existe en nuestro país: la obesidad.
Patología que ella misma padeció en aquellos momentos; esta situación la motivó a estudiar el área clínica de sobrepeso y obesidad en el Centro Médico Nacional Siglo XXI.
Al terminar estos estudios, se planteó un objetivo único: fomentar una disciplina integral, que propicie una mejor calidad de vida de las personas que tienen sobrepeso.
En la actualidad, estamos conformados por un grupo de médicos y más de 15 socios preocupados mejorar la calidad de vida de nuestros pacientes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hace falta que identifiquen el lugar y que modifique la hora de cierre del día sabado,me costó trabajo encontrarlo y el poli ya no me dejó entrar porque ya era la 13:35 y en su página marca que hasta las 14:00 hrs,me costó mucho trabajo para llegar hasta el lugar y no pude entrar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El médico es amable pero sinceramente no cumplió con mis expectativas ya que en mi segunda visita nos volvieron a meter en grupo y pues es incómodo ya que tno hay una atención personalizada al menos ya no regresaré.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lo recomiendo para bajar de peso, mi esposa intento en otros lados y solamente lograba bajar 19 kilos y ahí se estancaba, en Villegas-Tovar lleva 16 kilos y contando. Lo recomiendo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Muy buenos, los recomiendo mucho, todo es constancia y decisión de parte de cada uno de los pacientes, no importa si entras en grupo, todos vamos por el mismo objetivo y en lo personal me dió más valor, pero si tú no quieres bajar de peso y pones mil peros y pretextos no lo harás aunque estés con muchas personas o con el bariatra en un consultorio solos, seamos claros desde el principio con lo que queremos y la meta que persigamos si no ni inviertan su dinero. Yo he bajado 11 kg y estoy muy contenta.
