I have to agree with Bob.... Alex and his gang cannot be trusted. They are con artists who have perfected the switch and bait scam. Also many of their ads are not their own listings, but the listings of other agencies which they have "lifted" off the other agencies onto their own. I had a prime example of their tactics recently. A property was described as 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, but was in fact a studio. No remorse or apology from them for the misconception. There are many many other reputable rental agents in PV... use them and never Vistalegre

We rented an apartment with Vistalegre for 2 weeks (Feb. 4th/17 to Feb. 18th/17). The initial communication with their staff was a little difficult, but overall they were awesome. Zenon will pick you up at the airport or meet you at your rental unit, he took care of any issues we had quickly, not that they were of any great concern. Our unit was clean and we were very pleased with the staff at the end of our trip. Zenon picked us up on time and returned us to the airport as promised! Our damage deposit was returned in full, in (4) working days without us ever having to request it. So overall it was a great location for us and we had no complaints what so ever! I rented a condo and (later on) an office from Vistalegre - I was very happy with the service. Alex went out of his way to make sure all the little things were handled, and Ana looked after the paperwork. Alex is very 'hands on', and I had no difficulty seeking him out if I needed help; they work long hours at their small office in the Romantic Zone. I think I felt better having someone who speaks Spanish and English, and Alex has lived in PV almost all his life. I had sought out a place on my own, but the owner of the hotel I was staying at told me I MUST check with Alex... and he did get me a much better location (1 block to the beach) and at a better price too. I came to check out Vallarta for a month or two and decided to stay! Alex made the whole process feel safe and comfortable. He has such an extensive knowledge of the area and there were so many really cool listings to choose from. He showed me several different places at several different price points and I never felt pressured. I moved into a beautiful condo and when some maintenance issues came up in the first few weeks that I was not prepared to deal with, Alex's expertise and persistence made everything work out beautifully. He was very responsive to my concerns and even though I had 1000 questions, he just kept answering them :-) I highly recommend Vistalegre, especially for Americans and Canadians who may not be used to the culture and language . I could not be happier with the service I received. Thanks!

Last winter we had two rental agreements with Vistalegre. We reserved a 2 bedroom apartment the year prior with full payment before arrival but received an email the afternoon before arrival that the unit that we had reserved was not available. We arrived at their office and they showed us a few places. We agreed on a new property Condos Panama which would give us two one bedroom apartments when we needed them for guests rather than the 2 bedroom unit that we had originally reserved. We signed a new rental agreement and moved in but the property manager would not let us have the second unit for the last few weeks of our stay, locked us out of the second unit and threatened to lock us out of our unit. We had to relocate at our own cost and additional rent. We will never rent from them again since we could not rely on either of two of their rental agreements and they provided no assistance to resolve the problem that we experienced. Beware!

I am writing an OUTSTANDING REVIEW of Vistalegre PV Rentals and their staff for two reasons. First, because I had heard from numerous people that I should not work with this company due to several negative experiences other people wrote about. Second because Alex, the owner/manager of the company, had been mentioned by name as someone with whom no one should work. In contrast, from the beginning of my apartment search, I have had very positive experiences and interactions with Vistalegre staff. Only one hour after I e-mailed the office, I received a call from Jeff George who asked me a number of questions and then promised to send me some properties to look at on line. True to his word, he followed up within hours. He sent a select handful of places that all met my criteria. The next day, went to see three properties, along with his colleague, Andrea. We visited one property where Andrea lived, and she talked to the manager to obtain information to answer all my questions. We then traveled to another studio where Alex met us. What an incredible studio it was and is! It has an ocean view, terrace, windows with wonderful cross breezes, stunning stone walls, lovely furniture and is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood a 5 minute walk to my bus top and 10 minute walk to the beach. After completing the rental application, having my money transferred-which the staff assisted by providing whatever data I needed-and signing a contract, we scheduled a walk through for 1 week later, which was yesterday. I arrived at the office at 12:45, had my keys by 1:15pm and was doing the walk through by 1:30. It looked even better all clean, breezy and spacious (especially for a sudio) the second time around. The owners are lovely people with a friendly and adorable dog. I move in Monday morning and couldn't be happier! So if you want to find the perfect place to live in Puerto Vallarta, I strongly recommend using Vistalegre and working with their wonderful staff! Jodi Wolk

I rented my house in Puerto Vallarta out last year for about six months to a nice couple from Toronto. The client and l were given different stories about how the security deposit is handled. The guests were finally refunded their $1400 USD deposit many months after going home. This should have been paid on the day they left. I tried getting contáct information from this company who refused on the grounds of privacy issues. They told me the client had been refunded the deposit yet the told the client l had been given the deposit because of damage to a sofa from a cigarette burn. When the client returned to PV 8 months later she stopped by to get her deposit. I naturally didn't have it. We both went to the office of Vistalegre/My Puerto Vallarta Rentals and after listening to them lie to us for over two hours, a refund was agreed to and paid , no over seven months late. This was nothing short RT of a company trying to pocket a parte amount of money illegally. Very unethical operation. Remember, Vistalegre is the same company as My PV Rentals, they just don't want you to know that.

Alex and his team of con artists stole the Google Pavilion condominiums site as if their business has anything to do with the Pavilion. All the one star ratings for this company are real. Any other reviews are suspect to employees posting the review.
