★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tuvimos suerte ya que el día anterior se presentó una nevada en el volcán. Se accede por carretera pavimentada hasta el poblado de raíces, a partir de aquí sólo es terraceria hasta el Valle de los venados. El costo por estacionamiento es de $50 pesos, aquí encuentras restaurantes, sanitarios, venta de ropa de invierno. Se puede subir al cráter en auto particular solo de martes a viernes. Fines de semana hay transporte público $50 pesos por persona en 25 minutos. Recomendable usar el transporte público si quieres cuidar tu unidad ya que hay tramos en mal estado. En el albergue hay sanitarios $10 y servicio médico (ambulancia). La caminata al cráter es de 15 - 20 minutos. El paisaje es maravilloso con las lagunas del sol y de la luna y con nieve mucho más espectacular. Vale mucho la pena la experiencia. Lo recomiendo.
We were lucky because the day before there was a snowfall on the volcano. It is accessed by paved road to the town of Roots, from here it is only dirt road to the Valley of the Deer. The cost for parking is $50 pesos, here you will find restaurants, toilets, sale of winter clothing. You can go up to the crater by private car only from Tuesday to Friday. Weekends there is public transportation $50 pesos per person in 25 minutes. It is recommended to use public transport if you want to take care of your unit since there are sections in poor condition. In the hostel there are restrooms $10 and medical service (ambulance). The walk to the crater is 15 - 20 minutes. The landscape is wonderful with the lagoons of the sun and the moon and with much more spectacular snow. The experience is well worth it. I recommend it.
