Waah cocina - 77930 Bacalar

This is the best farm to table concept of ANY restaurant I have ever eaten in the world. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the dishes as well as the atmosphere of the dining location itself. Located in one of the coolest boutique hotels I've ever stayed. Paired with extremely affordable prices, this dining experience will blow you away.

Very good restaurant. With à concept that is still not popular around here. But that should be able to grow! I hope they will have good customer and be able to sustain on their project! Food was tasty with good advices on how the different flavors work. I strongly recommend the ceviche! :)

Part of a hotel, the restaurant has very nice decor, and definitely had embraced the boutique style. We had a main lamb dish, which was excellent, but the local pumpkin was basically inedible as it was completely burnt on the outside and nearly raw on the inside. It was very strange. The jamaica drink was fantastic. Not a complaint, but note that the portions are very small, so each person will need a main course. They accept cards.

Amazing, unique, delicious local cuisine! All meals are farm to table! Friendly atmosphere, professional personnel that cared to spoil us non stop!!! A MUST when you are in the area! ?????

Pretty bad experience. The place is very nice. The food is also good, although nothing spectacular. We tried the tamal (disliked it), pumpkin (very good), quesadilla of beef tongue (good), and the chocolate dessert (meh, unknown dark topping). We tried to order a Smoothie. To our surprise, the menu didn't describe what each of the 5 available contained. We asked. Hostess didn't know. She was kinda new, asked around and NO-ONE knew. Astonished, we went ahead and tried our luck. Someone in the kitchen must know what to do if the order came in, right? Well, it bounced back. The "ingredients" weren't available. But no idea what those were. In the end, we asked what fruits there were available, and we asked them to mix blackberries, blueberries, and mango. They delivered something decent, below average, that tasted more like strawberry and no mango. All in all, pretty bad experience. Wouldn't repeat. Best anecdote to find an entire staff not knowing what the menu contains.

Consistently delicious. Every morning we had breakfast (included in our stay at the hotel) it was amazing. I usually don’t eat breakfast too early or have that big of a breakfast, but here I ate it all and was so happy. I couldn’t miss out on any of it. Did dinner here one night too, and it far surpasses the places on the water. Waah doesn’t have a view of the water, but if you care about having great food, that’s homemade from scratch (they have chickens on the property they get eggs from for the restaurant even), then come here! Can’t recommend this place enough. Great value for the price too.

Beautiful place with a pool and a swinging bed over the water. We got all the vegan dishes they had available. The drinks are amazing here. It’s tucked away just a little further out from Centro so you don’t get the busy party crowd and can enjoy a special dinner. Prices are really affordable too. Highly recommend!

Great, fresh and innovative breakfast! Flavors were bright and thoughtful and I enjoyed eating here every morning as part of my stay. My only complaint is the service of one morning. After a clear and concise order, we had to tell the waitress 3 distinct times what she was trying to put in front of us was not ours. By the last time we said no, we didn’t order chilaquiles, and yes we know what they are.. we were losing our minds.
