★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Wal-Mart has a better selection of items than does the two Wal-Mart's in Playa del Carmen (where I live). The store has a huge variety of items found no where else in San Cris. And I just spent a week in San Cris and I visited the store twice. Both times, amazingly, the store was basically empty. It was unbelievable. I took many photos for my friends because, living in Playa, we have become accustomed to a usually packed store. The one in San Cris is great to shop at because you might be one of only a handful of people in the store and it is a big store. No lines at checkout and the parking lot is empty also. I have usually visited the store between 10am and 12noon. The same was true when I visit San Cris/Wal-mart one year ago. Business seems about the same!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the newest supermarket in the city. It has a good variety of goods including foodstuff, fruits and vegetables. However, its prices are generally higher, sometimes much higher than other supermarkets in the city. If you drive five minutes, you can find better prices at the popular market (Mercado Norte)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Walmart had a good selection along with friendly service. The store is quite new and is kept in excellent and clean condition. The meat department appears to be sanitary, and we have never been sick after eating meat from this Walmart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty much your standard Walmart similar to the one in USA except for a few diferente local stuff. I loved the fresh squeezed orange juice that you make yourself something my US Walmart doesn’t have.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't find milk like I am accustomed to having! Also, as I suspected, not even walmart stores their eggs in the cooler here.... I know farm fresh are okay to be out of refrigeration.... but, I thought once they had been cooled than it becomes necessary to continue to keep eggs cooled.... idk, different places means different methods I suppose of course.... otherwise, it's a nice store... bit different than in the USA, but still super convenient for finding useful and needed/wanted items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really bad experience at the Services section of Walmart. I wanted to cash a remittance and they told me the limit of money they could give me was below the figure I had in my remittance. After talking to the company sending the remittance they said that the limit was not that and that Walmart should give me the money I was asking. After changing the employee they acknowledged their mistake but by that time I had already cancelled my remittance and I had to order a new one, with all the associated paperwork. It worked this second time and the personnel at Walmart apologized again.
