★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place in Puerto Vallarta for Huichol Traditional Arts. We bought 3 pieces and Hilda Garcia was absolutely fascinating. She could talk about every detail of every piece I the store. She was clearly an expert and has a great love and respect for the art.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is such a lovely shop, filled with beautiful artwork. The owner is very helpful, kind, and shares lots of information about the handmade, unique pieces. I wish I could buy more - everything is so bright, colourful, and made with love. I highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been to Watakame about a dozen times. I prefer it over all of the other shops. It isn't the flashiest, but Hilda (the owner) has curated some of the most lovely alebrijes as well as yarn and bead art. Her knowledge is extensive and she is incredibly helpful.
Her shop may seem easy to pass by because it isn't flashy or well lit like the other vendors who deal in this type of art, but don't let that deter you. Make sure she takes you to the back room and have her showcase the pieces using black light.
