Super necessary to take a bag for the garbage and if you do something altruistic, collect what you can. Too much pollution, if not for that the place would have 5 ⭐

Beautiful place, they sell snow in the viewpoint and they are quite rich, you have to be careful on the rocks, because if it is very slippery, especially if you take children. The photos come out very well. If it is low enough, one can cool off with the water of the waterfall without any danger.

The WATERFALL is very beautiful.
I took a taxi next to the OBSERVATORIO subway. This one goes to OCOYOACAC and he charged me $ 60.00 pesos to the toll booth and there I got off. I crossed the highway and the free highway and arriving at the train track, I saw a store where they sell groceries and food and, there I asked and they told me where the WATERFALL is. As I went on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, the place is lonely.
The water is cold. If it is worth knowing. I recommend them, HORMIGA WALKS !!!

No volvería.
The place is actually very pretty. But it was very sad to see how much garbage there is. Parking cost 50 pesos. There are many craft and food stalls. It's a shame that the appeal of the place is dwarfed by the amount of garbage. (We picked up what we could). I hope they take action on the matter. I would not go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Google Maps will take you to a dead end at a huge iron gate. It's better to head to La Fresa, right off of the carretera, walk to the railroad tracks behind the restaurant, turn left, and walk for 10 minutes or so until you see paths leading off the railroad tracks. Head down to the top of the falls and scramble down the left side to get to the bottom. The waterfall itself is pretty yet not particularly impressive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not a touristic place and if you are not adventurous you'll find it a bit sketchy to get there. That said, from the directions Google Maps gives you you'll get to a dead end with a big wooden gate to a ranch. Park your car there, approach to the gate and you'll see a path running on the right. Follow it, you'll go underneath a big electricity tower, down the hill leaving the ranch on the left and the highway on the right. After 600 m you'll get to a creek, cross it and follow the path up, till you get to a railway track. You'll see a house in front of you, take the railway to the left, don't worry no trains will run over you. After 100 m you'll get to a railway bridge, cross it and you'll see several paths to the right to go down the hill. It's your choice which one you take, all of them fall at some point on the creek upstream the waterfall unless you walk another 500 m after the railway bridge. If you get upstream the waterfall you may find a bit dangerous to go down to the waterfall, unless you've done some climbing or scrambling before.
