Authentic Mexican food. Delicious and at a decent price. Beach side views in a little beach town. Get the culture of a relaxed Mexican pueblita in the middle of a resort. Great place for a family to eat out or for friends to grab a bite to eat. I was amazed at the selection of food. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mexico City. The menu included food from Mexico City, the northern states, food from the Yucatan peninsula, and food from the southern rim. Amazed. Delicious.

Hope this restaurant improved since we were there 2 years ago. We waited for over 2 hours for 4 tiny tacos. They kept saying "just a little longer, be patient." They would not give us free refills on our sodas. When we asked for water instead, they said that they were out of water. We ordered chips and salsa to just have something to eat. The chips and salsa never arrived, they kept forgetting. We complained to management and after having to write a very long complaint letter, they said that we would be given a credit for our inconvenience. When we went to checkout, there was no credit and we had to spend another hour explaining the entire situation again. We will not be going back there.

Ate there twice. First time the waitstaff took quite a while to get us the check. Second time was excellent.

Good tacos. While everything at this resort is expensive two hefty steak tacos are 160 pesos. Have an interesting melted hot cheese skillet with tortillas appetizer. Menu is online.

We ate at Waves n’ Tacos for dinner today. It was Taco Tuesday! I ordered the chicken tacos and they were ok. They just didn’t taste as great as I’m use to at my regular taco spot back home. The taco as a whole just tasted dry. We had also ordered guacamole and chips so I just put some guacamole on each of my three tacos and they tasted better. Maybe just some salsa would have done the trick, too, but the guacamole was very tasty on them. My husband had the Al Pastor tacos and he was very pleased. He also loves the guacamole here at Vidanta and cleaned the bowl. The chips were toasted flour tortillas and didn’t have any real flavor to them. They served their purpose as a transport vessel for the guac though, so it worked out! ? I do look forward to dining there again during our trip and trying something else.
