Don't waste your money with these scammers! They make Mexico look bad!

I've been harassing them for months and months and months to get my money back on a boat trip that they cancelled on us. I feel like a loan shark, they are absolutely ridiculous. You can tell they are cash poor, they can't refund money until more people buy their products.

I used Weddings by Lomas Travel to book my wife and I stay at Karisma Resort. We were going to attend a wedding at Karisma Resort on February 22nd, 2022. However, the wedding was canceled due to Covid back in September of 2021. Because the wedding was canceled in September of 2021, we were supposed to be granted a full refund according to Lomas Travel cancelation policy. I'm writing this review on April 18th, 2022 and I still have not received none of my money back. I've tried reaching out to this company via email and by phone, and no one has not responded to my emails nor phone calls. I highly recommend no one to use this Travel agency for anything. Seven months has passed since the wedding we were going to attend was canceled, and I'm still trying to get my refund.

Prior to paying a deposit, this company was very accommodating and responsive. Once a deposit was made, we had to send several emails before a generic response was received. After expressing extreme irritation, Jazmin scheduled a call with us to discuss details. Due to the pandemic and resort rule changes, we had to cancel our trip and wedding. I contacted the wedding planner and explained the situation; she assured us that she would speak with management and would contact us to give us refund amount. She later sent an email explaining that we sold lose $200 cancelation fee, but would be refunded the remaining amount and to please allow 45 to 60 days for refund. Now we are well beyond our 60 days and approximately 10 to 15 unanswered emails. No, they claim that they are retaining $600 (200 of nonrefundable amount and 400 photo credit).the credit is good for 1 year, in Cancun of course. This was not the agreement that was discussed several.weeks ago. They have been 100% difficult to deal with, since the first deposit was paid. Please steer clear and do yourself a favor......save your money and sanity. Read the reviews and stay away from this company JAMES and weddings is the company that feels entitled to $400 without doing 5 minutes worth of work..
