About Winpenny School
Winpenny first opened its doors in September 1992. Its original location was a four-bedroomed house in Calle de Pedregal in Lomas de Virreyes. Miss Marian, originally from Yorkshire in the UK, arrived in Mexico in 1969. She had over 20 years’ experience teaching and leading other schools in Mexico City before co-founding her own school.
Marian Winpenny and her eldest son Melvyn T Winpenny founded the school with just five children, one five years old, two four years old and two three years old: Ana, Aranzazu, Daniel, Maria, and Thomas. Early on that same year, parents asked Miss Marian to open a group for 2 years old. The school quickly expanded due to Miss Marian’s reputation as an excellent English educator. By the end of the first year, the school had already grown to accommodate 27 children and three more teachers. Every year after, the school continued to grow and new grades were added.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Falta de profesionalismo y buen trato. Lamentable que a sabiendas de que no hay cupo, de todas maneras inviten a realizar el pago de una evaluacion. Ademas, la evaluacion dura solamente 10 minutos. Las instalaciones dejan mucho que desear. Si estan buscando una escuela internacional y de buena calidad definitivamente este colegio no es opcion.
Lack of professionalism and good treatment. Regrettably, knowing that there is no quota, in any case invite to make the payment of an evaluation. In addition, the evaluation lasts only 10 minutes. The facilities leave much to be desired. If you are looking for an international school and of good quality, this school is definitely not an option.
