This was NOT the worst resort I’ve ever been to but I will break down the pros and cons. Pros- -location to Avenida Constituyentes and shopping was great, -rooms clean, met folks and had fun despite the cons. —Room service was reliable for breakfast -Overall food was not bad Cons- NO BEACH! Due to a past hurricane so if you want beach, prepare to walk down the road a little— Seaweed washed up on the shore smells HORRIBLE. I had to become “noseblind” to get over it. -Activities limited.. Wish they had more. - The little black bugs on the balcony -actually bite. Yikes! - Covid test scheduling took TOO LONG. Im on vacation and shouldn’t have to wait an hour in line just to SCHEDULE a test. I would say that this resort was good for age 18-35. You’ll meet new people & drink too much rhen you’ll get over what the resort is lacking. 40+ may want to find something more secluded, & mature.

This resort is not worth the money! The beachfront is nonexistent and full of seaweed. The restaurants in the resort are not good. The buffet is your best option for food within the resort. Food outside the resort is much better. The resort is well situated in town. The staff are great and friendly however management were not. My girlfriend stepped on broken glass on the pool side which should never happen when you are paying thousands of dollars for a few nights. Pictures online are deceiving and very misleading. There are much better options in playa del carmen!!

Went on a girls trip and decided to stay here. Let me give you my feedback, suggestions and tips 1. Ask for the coupon booklet before you book and pay for anything (spas excursions premium drinks etc). Rodrigo is the individual who has the coupon book and he does a bait switch. He sits right next to the individual that books your excursions (Gloria) , listens to the conversation, watches you pay for the excursion then he pulls out the coupon book that has 25% off for the excursion you just book (not nice) then he wants you to go to a time share presentation across the street at the Hilton. 2. You will not go to the beach anytime soon. The seaweed and the smell is horrible especially on hot days. As soon as you walk out the main dining restaurant the smells hits you hard to the point of nausea. We stayed upstairs at the pool near the sushi bar majority of the time. 3. The spa was great but fill out the waiver form a day before you appointment. We booked a 80 min massage and 20 min foot reflexology not knowing your start time is when you walk through the doors of the spa so they deduct the time from the massage (not nice). They tried to give us 50 min massage and 15 min foot reflexology. 4. The excursions is awesome. We had a great time. I would recommend catching the early ride (7:45am) because there are multiple groups when you get there but read the news articles (that I read after the fact) about the pollution that is corrupting the sink holes they take you too (use caution and remember to get your coupon book). They take you to 3 places zip lining, a cave and a secluded sink hole for $99 which includes lunch, the snorkel equipment and transportation. Awesome experience (remember the coupon book). 5. The food is really good. We went to the Italian restaurant twice and our server Mario was very attentive and awesome. The buffet is awesome and they definitely pay attention to detail. If you are a vegetarian there are a lot of vegetarian options. I really appreciated that. 6. The rooms were subpar but tolerable. I did find a roach and took a pic of it just in case someone from the resort tries to call me out on it. I think it’s because the room needs better ventilation but the seaweed stench is so bad you don’t want to open the door or windows. It was 3 of us on the trip and each of us had 3 different rooms (ocean front balcony, ocean view balcony and standard). They all needed better ventilation and cleaning. All 3 of us had issues getting face cloths as well. We called housekeeping, the front desk and even stopped several of the room attendants while they past our rooms and none of them gave us face cloths (very frustrating) 7. Great location. It was about a 10 min walk to Walmart which I was quite surprise (same low prices even in pesos). It is also in the middle of a nice shopping area which comes all the way live at night. 8. Lastly our travel agency claims they could not get a hold of the hotel when they asked to refund a day because our flights got cancelled on our original arrival date. They claimed the hotel would not give us a refund for that day because they were not answering the phone but they answered the phone for the travel agency to tell them we would be a day late (not nice). I know after this review I am going to get a generic response asking that I contact the hotel to sort it out but no thank you just run the company with some integrity I also work very hard for the my money and wanted to show myself some appreciation for how hard I worked by paying for this trip ( you get more bees with honey than with vinegar)

The staff was amazing, food was so good! Especially at the reservation restaurants. The activities were decent especially if the weather isn’t perfect then they do non stop games and karaoke and stuff. The rooms were nice and come with beer, soda and water in the fridge and lots of HBO and movie, sports channels. Advice: check recent Instagram post or just call first to see if there’s sea weed because sometimes there is and it smells. And don’t forget to tip the staff. They act like they don’t care whether you do or not but they definitely appreciate it.

I was treating with nothing but greatness! Francisco Nieto from reception is truly amazing, he was always very attentive. Angel & Armando who were bartenders were also pretty great. Daisy who was part of the cleaning crew always made sure we had clean towels. These three people made our stay memorable. The kindest most genuine and caring people. If I ever go back and know they are still working here I’d stay again just for them.

We are having such a great time here this week. I am visiting with my son and his girlfriend for her Spring Break. The staff has been amazing and the entertainment crew is a riot! Nolberto and Sergio are Great at getting the crowd engaged and keeping everything fun. From poolside stretching (yoga) to water aerobics/Zumba and water volleyball… Always Fun!! Miguel at the poor bar is a Fantastic bartender and always delivers the tastiest frozen drinks! Don’t forget to visit the beach bar for the cool swings while looking at the Beautiful turquoise waters! The food is all so Good and I can’t say enough about our room. We got the junior suite ocean view and it is Beautiful and so very comfortable. The evening entertainment has been a real treat as well. Neon, fire, and saxophone shows have all been very entertaining and Great! Overall, I would strongly recommend this resort. We usually stay in Cancun, but really prefer the smaller and more personal atmosphere here in Playa.

Hands down the best all inclusive resort Playa Del Carmen has to offer! 30 sec walk to beach front best view over even the more expensive resorts and amazing service!!! Thank you for the fast and always friendly service! And thank you for exceeding my expectations beyond. This resort is way beyond a 3 star stay. Out of 5 I rate the 6!! Thank you to all the staff for always being so quick with a smiling face ? never felt more qt home! Also tha k you to the beach bartender! You never had quicker more pleasant service in my life! Give him a raise please ???

This resort is nothing short of magical. The building itself is stunning, and instantly calms you. But the staff was the most phenomenal part. My husband and I just spent a week there, and the memories we made we will always hold dear. The staff is beyond kind, friendly, and accommodating. They knew it was our honeymoon, and sent us a bottle of wine the first night. The food options are so so good! And the drinks are always fresh and generously mixed. Every night they have different entertainment for their guests, and you can see that this establishment prides themselves on treating their customers wonderfully. You really get your money’s worth and are surrounded by truly generous people. If you are looking for a true get away, I highly recommend Wyndham Alltra, in Playa Del Carmen! ❤️
