★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This speakeasy/cocktail bar is a hidden gem. After a great meal next door at Cafe de artistes we asked one of the staff for a recommendation for a good cocktail bar nearby. They recommended this place and I couldn’t have been happier. The atmosphere is very modern, hip, and great- it feels like you’re in a jungle in the middle of this beach town. The drinks and staff are exceptional and I can’t recommend this place enough. This place opened up during the pandemic and is such a great add to Puerto Vallarta and genuinely one of my favorite bars here. I would recommend for a great speakeasy/cocktail bar for casual drinks or light bites.
Number one recommendation is to try the colmillo de xaguar for a tasty and tingly cocktail!

The venue has a certain underground vibe where it is a little hard to find but you are glad you are there once you find out how to get there. The staff is super friendly and approachable. They are able to recommend amazing drinks when you don't know what you want and the drinks are out of this world.
I would highly recommend it to a friend and I will be back next time I am in PVR.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You’ve gotta walk up the road and try this amazing fly unique and funky place out for either a cocktail or dinner. What a jewel, and we are So Glad we accidentally discovered it ! And… the BEST burrata dish we’ve ever tasted in our lives !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails and apps at Xaguar. The cocktails were interesting and top notch. My husband ordered a custom drink and they were happy to oblige. We ordered two apps, the broccoli and the burrata salad, which were fresh and delicious. The setting is a nice change of pace and the staff were extremely friendly. We had a great experience and will return when back in PV.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Xaguar is a hidden gem in Puerto Vallarta. Everything is fabulous, including the atmosphere, the music, the food, the drinks, and the small details like the artistic glasses and the mini coat racks. If you’re coming here to eat, I would suggest getting either the shrimp or steak tacos. I also really loved the mashed potatoes and mac n’ cheese sides. The tuna toast was a bit too salty, but that was the only flaw. The chocolate cake is HUGE, and it is worth every calorie. I will definitely be coming back!!!!
