The owner and host has set up an amazing experience for her guests. She thought of everything to make this beachfront apartment the perfect escape vacation. You’ll love hearing the ocean waves on the beach below. Probably the best rental in San Augustinillo!!

Amazing artistic and beautiful 5 Star home overlooking the sea! My husband and I stayed in this gorgeous new home (completed in 2020) for 2 weeks in early December 2021. We were absolutely delighted by our stay here. It is a short drive or 20-25 minute walk from Mazunte, where there is an ATM, a variety of restaurants, numerous yoga centers and spas, some small markets where you can buy produce and various grocery items and various small artisan shops. The craftsmanship and woodwork here is impeccable and we were constantly impressed at the details, along with the artistic touches everywhere you look. The king-sized beds are firm but very comfortable. The house has 4 levels. On the first level, where you enter from the small neighborhood dirt road, you walk into a lovely outdoor patio with a beautiful wooden table and surrounding gardens. There is a massage room with a massage table and a bathroom on this floor. Book massages here! Exquisite! On the second level of the house is the 2 bedroom apartment which we stayed in. It has 2 bedrooms, both with A/C, which we used only at night to sleep, set at 24 C. One bedroom faces the ocean with awesome views. The second bedroom is spacious and comfortable with a king bed, but without views. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms with shower. The organized kitchen is maintained with everything that we needed to prepare meals here. Beautiful ceramic dinnerware. Plentiful bottled water is provided. On the third floor is the second 2 bedroom apartment where the owner stays when she is here and which she also occasionally rents. It is equally lovely and very similar to the lower apartment except it has a larger kitchen, is one story higher so gets a wee bit more sea breeze and even better ocean views, but does not have A/C. The top floor, the terrace, is amazing because of the expansive ocean view and nighttime skies. It is requested that you reserve your time for the top terrace for privacy, which is nice, and there is a whiteboard there for doing so. Gabriel is a chef extraordinaire that the owner recommended and we hired him to prepare 3 amazing 4 course meals for us while we were there. He was also our driver. He transported us to and from the airport, took us to the Monday open-air food market in Pochutla, brought us supplies that we needed, and became a dear friend. He is Spanish-speaking only, so if you do not speak Spanish you will need a good translation app. The Wi-Fi there is EXCELLENT, as is cell service. A new 55 step staircase leads from the house to a short walk to the beach. This beach is secluded, quiet, and away from the bustle of the nearby villages, yet you can walk down the beach to San Agustinillo if you’d like. There are a number of little bar/restaurants on the beach there, where we enjoyed drinks and dinner with live music. There are two very lovely young women who work there daily 8-5 pm, always available with a smile to help with whatever was needed, and coming to clean daily. They keep this home running smoothly and helped us with arranging massages or taxis. There is a local public transport that goes back and forth on the main road between Mazunte and Zipolite that only costs 10 pesos each and runs about every 10 minutes. It is basically a truck with bench seats and a shade cover. You flag the driver down and pay when you get off. However, it is often very crowded with standing room only and is a steep climb up and down. Taxis will cost from 75-100 pesos each way depending on your destination. This is a home for able-bodied adults, as there are many steps and some are quite steep. If you opt to rent a car, be sure and get a SMALL one, as these roads are very narrow and winding. Finally, we were delighted NOT to have a mosquito problem while we visited. Because the bedrooms and kitchen are screened in and there is a pretty steady sea breeze, you don’t need mosquito netting around the bed like many places here use. This is a truly top-notch vacation rental. Enjoy!
