About Xocodiva Basilio Badillo

Xocodiva began in 2006 right here in Puerto Vallarta!

Our cacao is sourced from around the world from places like Mexico, Peru, and other countries where it is gathered, processed and shipped to Belgium. Belgium has produced the highest quality chocolate in the world since the 17th century. Here at Xocodiva we use a 73% cacao dark chocolate and 33% cacao milk chocolate.

Our products have all been developed over time. While maintaining the highest of quality, we are constantly switching things up, coming up with new and unique flavors. Be sure to ask our amazing team members what is new!

Xocodiva has always prided itself on making a world class product.

Everything we make is made in small batches and all made by hand.

Our passion for chocolate is evident in all we produce!

Each truffle from the Xocodiva kitchen has been tempered, hand-painted and decorated by hand with one hundred percent natural cocoa butter and other embellishments. Each piece involves anywhere from 11 to 21 steps to before it is ready for you to enjoy!

We use only natural ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. Our products are preservative free and all natural. Our limoncello liqueur is a delight we also make in house!

Who knew such a small piece of chocolate could be so satisfying

The staff is very friendly and patient while we asked questions and picked our selection. Right away before we started selecting our chocolate they let us know which chocolates they were currently out of. My two pieces were the espresso truffle and peanut butter truffle. The espresso truffle is a rich dark chocolate truffle with a hint of espresso topped with a bean. A little too dark for my taste but it had a good flavor. The peanut butter truffle was a milk chocolate peanut butter filled truffle sprinkled with a few bits of nuts on top. That is definitely my favorite so far. Only got to try two but they were delicious. We will definitely be back. The other heart shaped ones were fruit flavors which I didn’t try. Comment on those was they were good.
