★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El temazcal está ubicado en Teotitlan del Valle, pueblo de tradición zapoteca. Es un lugar increíble, nos recibieron en la casa de una familia del pueblo, el temazcal usa hierbas medicinales que crecen en la región y al final nos ofrecieron té. Una atención extraordinaria, el lugar increíblemente agradable y los temazcaleros (carlos,luci y Agustin) super amables y profesionales. Por cierto, también tienen camas de masaje ahí mismo. No se olviden de probar la chocolaterapia dentro del temazcal! :)
The temazcal is located in Teotitlan del Valle, a town of Zapotec tradition. It is an incredible place, they received us in the house of a family from the town, the temazcal uses medicinal herbs that grow in the region and at the end they offered us tea. Extraordinary attention, an incredibly nice place and the temazcaleros (carlos, luci and Agustin) super friendly and professional. By the way, they also have massage beds on site. Don't forget to try the chocolate therapy inside the temazcal! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was such an amazing experience and one that I would recommend for travelers to try at some point in their journey! They did a great job communicating with me on how to reach their home (one bus and a moto taxi), explained how they set up the temazcal and the significance of all of the items, and they were very careful to monitor me while I was in the oven. I also got a massage afterwards that I would highly recommend!
I will say, please listen to your body and remove yourself from the oven when you know you’ve been in there long enough, otherwise you can feel quite sick afterwards.
