Great to mix it up from Mexican lagers - all their beers were awesome. Fun live music most nights!

Must go to Yambaks, and definite must go on 2 for 1 Tuesday. Late at night this is one of the last places to stay open, and you'll find yourself dancing and mingling in the streets outside having a great time. Some really great local beers, however I'm givinny 4 stars because they seem to run out on tap fairly early in the night. Theres a variety of music here, bumping tech house/techno most nights. I saw an incredible live band here though, one of my favourite nights out in Sayulita.

Sometimes "craft beer" is code for "overpriced/dull beer"; this is not the case. YamBak's beers are a pleasant surprise, well balanced, rich aromas, nice ambience. Definitely a must if you are in Sayulita and you enjoy good beers. Personal suggestion: Monkey Mountain (Black IPA), even if IPAs or Stouts are not your thing this beer is a great discovery.

There's a part of me that doesn't want to give YamBak 5 stars because it fits into a category of places that either aren't my normal jam, or make me really feel my 37 years on this earth. But that's not their fault that I feel old, and honestly it does what it does well. Even on a crazy busy night with a live band and bus loads of young people streaming out into the calle, we've never had to wait long for a beer while sitting at one of the tables or at the bar, and I've always had a good time. Often times great music on weekdays, staff has always been friendly, and they have some great west coast style beers (think IPAs, although there are some lagers). Just be prepared for a lot of good looking "Instagram backpacker" folks and drunk, often times obnoxious Americans.

We came after dinner but you can tell this is the place to be late at night (two taco places right next to it). Their craft beers were average, my wife’s was good but mine tasted skunky (minus 1 star). Another star deduction because their happy hour promotion for 2 for 1 beers is for common beers like Pacifico/Corona (not for their craft beers?..at a brewery?!?). Another deduction was all of the people smoking inside - two ladies at the bar, another couple at the table next to me, one of the bartenders took their cigarette break at the end of the bar…I won’t be coming back.

YamBak definitely has Southern California brewery vibes, down to the Sublime and incubus played on their speakers. At some point in the night there's a live DJ that mixes things up. The beer is a little hit or miss. There's some standouts like the "maracujamm", which I think is their most interesting beer. I'd definitely recommend checking that one out. They're dog friendly like a lot of other breweries. This place stays open really late, which is nice. The tacos next door are also amazing, perfect pairing with the beers.
