A wonderful gourmet bistro in the Sanchez Pascuas market. It is owned and operated by a husband and master chef wife. The food is not only delicious but very healthy and presented with a touch of elegance. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Great service my waiter was very helpful. Food is high quality, prepared professionally and a nice healthy change while still being local and authentic. Excellent prices. Seats about 15 people but extra room can be made as its situated in a foot market hall. Not very visible from the street so don't miss it! I can recommend the Sandwich Yellou Special, and the Huevos Divorciados.

Mr Nice “I don’t care” DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL Owner was welcoming, detailed and accommodated my need as a vegan, meal was delicious, however meal didn’t come as we discussed. It was suppose to come with plantain but didn’t I was told it was “changed” though I was not asked if I want it to be changed. When I asked for the bill Mr told me 155MXN I noticed the prices were different and double checked the menu my meal cost 95MXN and my drink 35MXN which is 130MXN When I mention my meal cost less Mr told me menu has “changed” and my meal is 100MXN , my math is not the best but that is still OFF He clearly charged me extra on purpose because I’m a foreigner. I said that meal was delicious but it’s isn’t nice to be charged extra to which he responded “I don’t care” Well I care no more Mr because who read your reviews are foreigners so get your math and attitude straight if you want to keep good reputation. Good customer service goes a long way so is bad one. There is my one star for it, enjoy it

The best place to eat at Mercado Sanchez Pasquas. The food is fresh, well-prepared, and inexpensive.

I come here at least a couple times a week for breakfast/lunch. The food is a fresher, healthier take on traditional Mexican cuisine, but the same price as you’d pay for the typical “comida corrida.” Gustavo takes good care of you at the table and the talented cooks in the kitchen unique ingredients to keep things interesting. I always look forward to seeing what is their next “plato del día.” They even take care to put a bit of thoughtful presentation into their plates. If you can’t stop eating the amazing food of Mexico, but need to eat some fresh food now and then, this is your spot to try!

Wish I lived in Oaxaca so I could eat here regularly! Superb cuisine at a great price. Friendly service. Would love to try every one of their dishes. These guys are doing it right!

If I could give this place eighteen stars, I would. Incredible, fresh, healthy, delicious food. Everything on the menu can be made vegan or vegetarian. We got the enmoladas and an omelette Oaxaqueño, and suffice to say, Yellou serves up some of the best food we've had on the planet. The chocolate con chipotle is a must-try, as well!
