Pristine beaches are caressed by turquoise waters where dolphins and whales swim and eagle rays leap out toward the sky in giant splashes. Ospreys, falcons and hawks soar high above the forest and their songs bless this land with its name, Yiimtii, Eagle Mountain, in Zapoteco, the ancestral language of these mountains, the Sierra Madre del Sur.
The melody of forest and crashing waves produce a peaceful vibration that is amplified by the songs of birds and insects.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I spent 4 nights at Yiimtii and it was the most memorable stay we had during our entire Mexico trip! The place itself is so secluded and simple in a way that you are one with nature, staying in their bungalow overlooking the mighty sea and surrounded by forest. The bungalow is designed with so much care and sense of detail in a private part of their land. Marytere and Naim prepared the most delicious, fresh and organic foods throughout our stay and made us feel so much at home. Their entire family is SO lovely that you just want to stay there forever. It is a truly inspiring what they have done with this land and their conservation project since 20+ years. We cannot recommend it enough, and we cannot wait to come visit the Yiimtii family again soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are so happy and lucky we found this place. If anyone ever has the chance to stay here – do it! We felt so at home, words don’t do justice to the beauty of this remote little dream, there’s only two little cabañas and you are basically alone on the magical beach. Where else do you find that? And not even talking about the food which would be reason alone to stay there. Thank you all for everything and this unexpectedly beautiful stay ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No words to describe this place. How can a trip start badly when you are picked up in the back of a truck and driven up a dirt road? Every detail is thought of and done so lovingly. The cabin was more than we could have hoped for. But besides the place being so magical, it was the family that made us never want to leave. They went above and beyond to make our stay special, and are some of the most genuinely kind people we have met. I don't often return to the same places but my partner and I are already planning our return. If you can, spend many days, or all your time here, we did not want to leave! We almost didn't want to write a review, so this place remains a bit of a secret ;) but it's too special to not share.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yiimitii was the highlight of our Mexico trip. We stayed for 3 nights (originally booked 2). And LOVED waking up each morning in the cabana nestled on the clifftop over looking their private beach.
One of the best parts about here is the FOOD. Niam and Marytere cook the most amazing meals -- we had cevice, fish tacos and fish pasta, with hours spent chatting.
If you're reading this, you've found something special. Wander down to the private beach, go for a walk around the reserve or simply "chillax" and eat AMAZING food. Did I say the food is good?
