The best yoga in oaxaca! gorgeous space with views of the ocean. incredibly knowledgeable teachers, all the props you need. I practiced here every day for a month. I cannot wait to come back

The studio is a rooftop terrace in one of the nicest hostels in la Punta, One Love, it has a beautiful ocean view surrounded by vegetation, you'll be practicing in contact with nature. Amazing teachers, bilingual classes everyday, super equipped with props, a real yoga studio. Don't miss checking out the hostel restaurant it offers nice coffee, juices or kombucha and delicious breakfast! Top choice in la Punta.

Take the 200 hour Yoga teacher training with Kanami she is amazing!! Kanami is knowledge with a smile. I took a 21 day, 200 hour yoga teacher training course with kanami and we received the same level of energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement on day 21 that we did on day 1. We received the same Kanami at 7 am that we did at 6 pm. Day after day. Kanami took the time to show us around the beautiful town of puerto Escondido and often went out with the students to enjoy dinner at the best restaurants. She turned a group of strangers into a family. One love hostel is located a 1 minute walk to the beach and a short walk to great bars, nightlife, and delicious restaurants and food markets with amazing fresh produce that you can cook in one loves guest kitchen. I have taken lots of yoga classes at many different studios and I’m always in awe around kanami at how much she stands out amongst all my favorite teachers. In this course, I saw her balance all of the personalities and needs of everyone in the course, everyday, with a level of understanding, patience, and wisdom that can only come from a true yogi. She made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible during meals and with our housing while also teaching the entire curriculum herself every day of the course. Not only did she make the intense and somewhat daunting curriculum digestible, interesting, and fun during the course but she also picked up most of the students from the airport and made sure that everyone felt supported and comfortable before and after the course. She took care of her students from the moment they signed up for the course, til they landed safely back home. I’ve taken lots of courses for other certifications and I’ve never had a teacher that is as accommodating and caring as kanami. I truly feel like There’s not another person that is as versatile as her that could sustain the level of excellence that she delivered across the board for such an extended amount of time. It’s not uncommon to meet someone that is a master in their one field of training, but to be in the presence of someone like kanami who has applied the level of discipline she has to multiple different fields of study is so special! Whether we had questions about anatomy, yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, Thai massage (The list of fields this girl has studied is never ending): we could rely and count on kanami to give us a thorough, thoughtful, and unerring answer. With that being said, kanami is not one to flaunt her knowledge and is extremely humble. She reminds me of a true sage. If you don’t ask for advice she’s not one to force it on you, she simply acts as a role model and shows up as the best version of herself and lets her actions speak for herself. I can think of so many instances where Kanami planted a seed of knowledge that I did not fully understand at the time, but through my own evolution of growth, can look back on and think “AHA! This is what kanami meant! I understand know!” Each person in my course was in completely different stages of life with different learning styles and needs and kanami made sure that every single person got the attention and direction that they needed, tailored to where each of us were at in each moment. All of the students in my course, including myself, took turns feeling tired, defeated, or discouraged at what we felt were our shortcomings and kanami held space for all of us and managed to inspire and motivate us all to persevere and enjoy the process. You can get your 200 hr YTT and just learn how to teach a yoga class or you can take Kanami’s course and learn how to apply the principles of yoga on and off your own mat while also bringing your students a well rounded practice that includes pranayama, meditation, and a thoughtful and challenging flow. I would take the course again just to be around someone who truly embodies the full spectrum of health and wellness. I can not recommend this course enough!!

I have been both teaching and attending classes at this yoga shala for over three years, and it's by far my favorite yoga studio in Puerto Escondido. Yoga One Love put a lot of effort into hiring experienced teachers who teach great classes, and pride themselves on being professional and reliable. I am super grateful to be part of their solid team. Their yoga space is big, bright, clean, beautiful, and fully equipped to host big groups with ease. They offer the newest, cleanest, and best quality yoga props in town, and always have friendly staff on site to answer questions and to help out. If you are a yogi and are planning to visit Puerto Escondido, buying a weekly/monthly pass at this studio is a must-do!
