Este sitio totonaca, se encuentra a 20 kilómetros del Tajín, y para accederlo debe atravesarse el río Tecolutla por el puente Remolinos, y después se debe pasar por varios pueblos totonacas, hasta llegar a Paso de Correo. El sitio tiene una plaza con cuatro monumentos hacia cada punto cardinal, uno de ellos prácticamente devorado por la vegetación. Hay un juego de pelota, pero es inaccesible además de que no está restaurado. Yo pude visitarlo después de convencer a los vigilantes de que me llevaran, paseo que se dio a punta de machete y abriendo brecha en algunas partes. Siempre hace mucho calor, y dependiendo de la época del año, hay que llevar más o menos agua, pues el calor húmedo provoca deshidratación. Cada vez que visito la zona norte de Veracruz, trato de ir a Cuyuxquihui, y siempre lo encuentro igualmente hermoso. Particularmente, amo este sitio.
