Zamas Hotel - 77780 Tulum

This place was fantastic! We had originally booked an Airbnb that we didn’t feel the safest in and also wanted to be closer to the beach and restaurants. They were able to get 5 of us in the same day in one of the bungalows. It does get a little toasty in the room during the day but significantly cools down at night. We didn’t have issues with bug bites but the beds have bug nets that are great for peace of mind. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy, plenty of outlets for an eco hotel, and we really enjoyed our patio to sit out on in the mornings. The staff was awesome and brought us whatever we needed at any hour of the day. They also sent someone to scare off a huge iguana that was hanging out on our steps! We were close to the pool which was great. However, it did turn all of our swimsuits a weird yellow color. Security was guarding the gate and made us show our room key before we could enter both nights when we came back later in the night. We really appreciated that! There is a LOT of wildlife in this area. We knew this going in as it is right on the beach. Iguanas, crabs, bugs, etc. all live on the beach and the room also backs up to the jungle. We had a couple critters in our room but it wasn’t anything that made us feel uncomfortable. Overall, I don’t think I would stay here for a relaxing getaway as we really didn’t spend much time in our bungalow but it was a fun experience with friends!

This is a wonderful oasis. It's a bunch a tiki houses with beautiful vegetation around giving the exotic vibe. All water sports are right next door and a short walk from 7/11 for house hold needs. Overall it's worth coming. But I wasn't happy with the beach area too much seaweed and rocks also rooms don't have a fridge. The pool area is tiny.It's a 30 min walk from the clubs and restaurants.

Zamas was a wonderful place to stay! We rented a large house which was absolutely amazing, but you can also get a spot right on the beach. The beachside restaurant is great for evening cocktails or brunch. The staff were always friendly, easy to reach and eager to help. They even helped set up COVID testing right at our house! I would recommend 100%

Went there for lunch and we enjoyed the food (prawns and avocado toast). They were really really nice to make us something from the breakfast menu, even if it was a little bit off clock. We enjoyed some cocktails and beer afterwards on their front beach. Great time ?

Zamas is the perfect hotel if you want stay at the beach in Tulum, but don’t want to be in the busy touristic part. The hotel itself has a beautiful beach with nice beds and palmtrees. At Zamas you have three kind of houses; houses right at the beach, which are small, but offer the perfect beach view. They have houses with a ocean view but a bit more further from the beach, the houses are a bit bigger. They also have ‘ jungle houses’ . Daniel was kind enough to show them to me and the were really big, had an ocean view and were close to the pool. All types of houses are nice, we stayed at the second one which was really nice and safe for our son. We were travelling with our two year old son and Zamas was the perfect hotel for us. The restaurant serves really good breakfast and dinner for a reasonable price. They serve your cocktails at the beach, what more can you wish for. The staff was really friendly and did everything to make our stay wonderful. Would definitely come back and also recommend.

We had originally booked an Airbnb for a girls trip that didn't quite match the description or photos. After spending one night there it was decided we needed to relocate. Lucky for us we were able to book 2 rooms same day to accommodate 6 girls for the rest of the weekend and it was fantastic! The staff was so friendly and helpful from the minute I called about an early check-in, the rooms was very clean with daily service and the restaurant was a great place to start your day with coffee or end with dinner. Its in a great location where you can walk to shops/restaurants/beaches and a short taxi ride down to the southern end. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Zamas hotel was so cute and welcoming. I stayed here in November 2021 and loved it. The hotel is in a great location close to everything in town and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. It was a safe, tourist-friendly BnB with spacious rooms and a delicious breakfast. Seriously, the breakfast is SO good and the staff was incredible. Make sure you eat at the restaurant if you stay here. You'll thank me later. The beach isn't the best, but that wasn't a detraction for us. There are plenty of other beaches in the area that are easy to get to. It was fun seeing the pelicans land on the rocks right in front of us while we enjoyed our breakfast. The water sports rental next door helped us book a snorkeling trip, which was also a really awesome experience. We even got to see the Mayan ruins from the water before we went snorkeling.

We spent 4 nights at the Zamas Hotel and loved every minute! Wonderful location right on it’s own private beach and walking distance to a number of bars, restaurants and shops along the same road. We stayed in one of the jungle rooms which was fab! A really gorgeous, tranquil pool area too. The hotel staff were all so friendly and helpful during our stay and breakfast was delicious on the restaurant terrace overlooking the ocean. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Tulum, that’s a little outside of the busier hotel zone.
