Literie parfaite, kingsize - piscine dans un cadre nature - pression et eau chaude sous la douche (pas toujours le cas dans d'autres hôtels) - clim - petit déjeuner très bon avec fruits coupés maison et assiette salée - de quoi garer la voiture devant l'hôtel - à 10-15mn en voiture de Los rapidos - restaurant pas très cher à quelques mètres où on peut aussi uniquement boire un verre et profiter des pontons du lagoon - et surtout l'accueil et la sympathie de Jose Luis

Si tu intención es descansar y relajarte en Bacalar, este hotel es SIN DUDA TU ELECCIÓN. Las estancias alrededor de laguna son algo ruidosas en la noche por los eventos y/o excesivamente costosas. Si bien este hotel esta cruzando la avenida, en su lugar estarás descansando entre la vegetación propia de la zona en unas cabañas vintage minimalistas pero de las cuales el dueño no escatimó para tu descanso. Las camas son firmes y cómodas, con clima mini split y un baño limpio con vegetación en la ventana sin comprometer tu privacidad. Recuerda, aquí vienes a descansar y relajarte, así que las habitaciones no tienen televisión, por lo que vendras a olvidarte de cualquier ajetreo urbano. No te llegues a desilusionar por que la avenida esté sin pavimentar en este momento, dado que eso permite que muy pocos coches circulen y aún sea todo silencioso y tranquilo dentro del hotel. La calle es muy iluminada pero la zona del hotel tiene una iluminación muy regulada y atenuada para que no se interrumpa tu relajación. La ubicación del hotel es excelente, dado que solo tienes que caminar 50 metros para llegar a la laguna y las actividades se realizan durante el día. Igualmente alrededor de 10 minutos en coche está el mejor cenote de la zona, el cenote azul así que podrás disfrutar maravillosamente de tu estancia. Don José te recibirá en sus instalaciones y LITERALMENTE hará hasta lo imposible por que estés comodo y totalmente atendido durante tu estancia. Sin duda espero volver pronto y así mismo espero le des oportunidad de recibirte.

Ecologically friendly. Wifi is available closer to your door then to bathrooms. Tranquil. Nice staff. And the restaurant is nice.

We were travelling through Mexico over the winter and were so excited to arrive at Bacalar, the lagoon of 7 colours. We decided to stay at Zensus as the cabins looked so cute, the prices were unbeatable, and had beautiful characteristics. The outdoor pool is just a few steps from the cabins, and there is even a large parking lot for guests! The photos did not do this place justice. The rooms are clean, the pool in the evening is lit up beautifully, and we also made friends with 2 adorable cats on the property. Our first encounter at Zensus was with Jose Luis. He made us feel extremely welcome, and actually became more of a friend to us. His hospitality goes above and beyond every single time. Jose Luis’ priority is the happiness of his guests, and you can feel the sincerity of his warmth! He took such good care of us, offering us drinks, giving us advice on the area, and even making us breakfast one day. During our trip to Mexico, we met a couple from the other side of the world whom we became friends with. They had accidentally left their wallet and personal belongings with us. We felt so trusting of Jose Luis that we actually left our friends’ things with him for them to collect a few weeks later. Funny enough, although our friends were not staying at Zensus Hotel, Jose Luis (being the generous host that he is) drove them around to places they needed to go, gave them advice as he did with us, and helped them along the way! The service provided by Zensus Hotel was outstanding! The hospitality we received from Jose Luis was unlike anywhere else in Mexico we had been the 3 weeks prior! We will always come back to Zensus when we visit Bacalar, there is no other place to be! Trust us!! Mr. Jose Luis, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! We went to Bacalar for new years eve and were a bit worried being further away from center, but ended being very happy we chose Zensus. It was peaceful and quiet. The rooms are new and very clean. We used Booking.com to book and the pictures were exactly what we got. There are about 10 cabins that are exactly the same surrounding the hotel pool. The shower has a see-through glass wall (don't worry, it's still private), which gave it a very exotic and unique feel. Very comfortable beds and stylish decor. I highly recommend.staying here. Note: directions on Google maps are not very good. 1st Avenue is just fine from any direction. Even though it has divider along the whole road, there are spots where you can easily do a U-turn. Also, the hotel is not on the lagoons side, it's on the opposite side. It took us a while to find it because we were looking in the wrong direction.

Perfect experience - cannot recommend highly enough - our favourite stay in Mexico and good value; we booked an extra night while staying. Jose-Luis is a fantastic, helpful and welcoming host - we felt at home instantly. The boutique cabanas are comfortable and nicely done to suit the vibe. The setting is stunning - garden, pool and lights - you feel like you're at the edge of the jungle; it is very peaceful. Good breakfast. A car is helpful generally, especially as it is nicer to stay out of the town. From Zensus you can walk to a few good cafes/restaurants, as well as places via which you can access the lake (most access is via beach clubs or hotels/cafes on the lake edge).
