★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We could not ride the boat to the resort, they had only one and it was being used for large groups. I offered to pay for the full boat but their credit card pricessing equipment was not working.
Upon entering the town of Zirahuen we got lost; there are no signs indicating where this place is at; and when we found it there where no instruccions on where to park; I didn't want to park on the green grass but that is where I parked and ran inside to ask if that was okay to park.
Beautiful place but it is as if they do not want to make money. Attendants look at you almost like an intruder; like they do you a favor by talking to you.
Most of Mexico is this way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place. It's clean and offers cheap parking. You can take nice pictures, eat, see typical crafts and take a boat ride. The cabins are pricey but the park is lovely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To expensive, small streets, over commercialized. Best places are the humble moms and pops restaurant. The lake is nice and the pueblo, but not the tourist homes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zirahuen is an amazing place to go because the views are amazing and the locals ate friendly. I enjoyed traveling in boat to the other side of the lake where there were a lot of different activities to do. It is a perfect place to go with friends and family to have fun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in alpine cabaña. it was on the other side of the lake, around 18 minutes from this location. It's cute, clean, the bed is comfortable. The kitchenette & cutlery are complete. The staff was helpful, they can help you carry your luggage & stuff.
The thing is that so many bugs like mosquitos are in our bathroom when the night comes.
