Zoa Hotel - 70946 Mazunte

Zero stars. The most HORRIBLE HOTEL EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. Bedsheets with stains and smelly towels. NO front desk service since there is only one person who is the owner named Solomon. Cannot believe this is a 4 star hotel. He says his staff replaced the sheets but they were the EXACT SAME WITH IDENTICAL STAINS.

We had a remarkable experience here. The manager was attentive from pre-trip to the end. We stayed at the honeymoon suite, and every penny was worth it. Thank you Zoa hotel

This is my second stay at this amazing boutique hotel with breathtaking views on the Pacific Ocean. Salomon and his team are doing a great job at welcoming guests. Food is excellent. I will be back!

AVOID this hotel! It is not at all the same as what is shown in the property photos. It is run down and falling apart and the manager Solomon does everything he can to charge you extra wherever possible. The only saving grace is the view but even that you can only enjoy from weathered chairs under ripped parasols. It's a real shame as I'm sure this was a great hotel in its prime, but it has been neglected and it shows.

Quite disappointed in our experience here. We feel like we got catfished! This hotel is rated 4 star but does not fit the bill as it is simply quite dated. The photos on the website are definitely not the current reality. Everything is kind of old, rusted, stained, broken. Management was kind of passive aggressive as well. The wifi in the rooms is barely existant, the showers have no water pressure and a ton of calcium buildup and the food is honestly bad (simple soft boiled eggs were served runny and raw), they try to charge extra 4$ USD for four slices of avocado (that aren’t part of the included breakfast - although this is mentionned no where). The bridge is broken and closed, the amphitheater for « movie nights » as advertised on their website clearly has not been used in eons. There are no beach chairs next to the ocean part of the hotel and the towels and parasols are grotty. I’m sure when this hotel opened many years ago it was beautiful (the views from the pool are gorgeous) but with poor upkeep it just feels rundown.

Don't stay here. You will be disappointed. Definitely not 4 star. 2 at most and 1 of those stars is for the views. For being in the hospitality industry, they don't seem to understand it. High prices, nickel and dime for any extra request.

My family and I were looking forward to our stay at Hotel Zoa for nearly a year — the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. From the delicious food to the breathtaking views from our cabana, we were tempted to extend our stay. Solomon and the team were friendly, accommodating, and took care of everything for us, from arranging pre-departure Covid tests to helping sort out an airline issue. We left Hotel Zoa totally relaxed and are eager to return soon.
