The place is very easy going surrounded by the police station, the fortress, a church, the governor palace, coffee shops, hostels, bars and souvenir shops.

They lately let brokers and businesspeople break the rest of the Beauty. I give it 5 Years more and it will be as broken as Tulum and Playa del Carmen. Its so sad to see all this happen ?
J	Johnika Dreher on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is major construction around the park but the Bacalar sign is accessible as well as the park and the fort. I skipped the fort but took some pictures outside. I was able to learn a lot about the tour via my boat tour with the Gaia Experience and my AirBnB walking mural tour with Pablo. Both were great experiences that introduced me to Bacalar and provided me with a thorough insight to this magical city. It’s truly a hidden gem not so hidden any more. Help protect the environment. Tip: Enjoy the sunrise is the morning between 6-7:30 am. So peaceful. I hope you find this review helpful. If so, please give me a thumbs up. Thank you.
