En la consumacion de la Independencia de Mexico, sirvio de punto de reunion a los Generales Agustin de Iturbide y Vicente Guerrero para celebrar la paz, formalizada en un abrazo y que cada año se conmemora. Actualmente el Zocalo Municipal de Acatempan cuenta con techado en la cancha publica y un jardin alrededor del Kiosco. Se situa junto a la Iglesia principal y la Primaria municipal. Es muy bonito en tiempos de fiestas. . .pero generalmente esta muy descuidado.!!
Historic place.!!. . . At the consummation of Mexico's independence, it served as a meeting point for Generals Agustin de Iturbide and Vicente Guerrero to celebrate peace, formalized in an embrace and which is commemorated each year. Currently the Acatempan Municipal Zocalo has a roof on the public court and a garden around the Kiosk. It is located next to the main Church and the municipal Primary. It is very beautiful at party times. . .but generally it is very neglected. !!
