★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WORST! Scam!!
This is a scam! Do not book! We booked online when we came in no electricity then send us to another Hotel Niza and asked us to pay again! We asked them to return our money first so we can pay the hotel Niza, The man left there and promise to return but did not.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed there back in July 2017. The front desk guy and the place itself was super sketchy. I booked online through Hostel World. They take a deposit that is applied to the balance. I should have only paid the difference to the hostel. When I arrived the guy tried to con me. He was persistent that I had not paid a deposit but I had paid only a fee to book through the website and on top of that he tried to charge me their in house rate rather than the rate posted on Hostel World. The room while Private is nothing more that cubicle like walls that have cut outside at the top where windows should be but are not there. That front desk guy lived on the property. He treats it like his place and not in a good way. He's loud, flimsy walls, has friends over. It is just not comfortable. The showers while private are lined up against eachother. They're rather damp and you can smell mold in the confined area.it has suicide showers so there wasn't a water heater but the shower head is electrified. They don't work well. CDMX is a very cool to moderate climate and it sucks having to shower in room temperature water, if you get lucky. Avoid this place at all cost.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very dodgy. Warning: If you arrive after 7pm, your reservation is cancelled and your room is gone. This is not stated on booking websites. Even if you call and email the day before and the guy on the phone says 'It's fine that you will get here at 9pm, even 10!' as our bus was arriving at 8:30pm. They booked us an Uber to a different hotel they own that is 6 blocks away, and told us they would pay. When the Uber driver asked us for cash, that was the last straw. There is no way we could trust this business. The low price of the rooms is not worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was filthy and noisy. The beds were uncomfortable, and the WiFi was awful. The only good thing about this fleabag hostel was its location to Plaza de la Constitución.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The manager was very kind and helpful, but the hostel didn't have our room for us, and there were plenty odd problems in Hostel Ciudad mx where they sent us.
The manager is awesome and even paid for our uber.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You get what you paid for, really fair, it's not luxury, but place is comfortable enough for a fast trip to Mexico city
