★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place to visit to gain perspective on the history of the area. Margarita was a great guide. Wear sunscreen and shoes good for hiking and climbing steep stairs. Also good to bring a hat, but choose one that fits well because it may blow off otherwise. This pyramid is by tour only and bags are not allowed. You can bring in a water and camera. My husband was glad he wore cargo shorts...lots of pockets for camera stuff. Finally, the guides on site don't speak English (none that we saw) so if you don't speak Spanish you may want to pay the extra money to get a private tour guide to take you. A private group went up with us. Their guide regaled them with lots of facts and tidbits of knowledge. We went with Margarita and worked on our Spanish while we took in the sight. They do have lots of signs explaining the different areas and the signs have English translations. Beautiful place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this is a relatively new discovery in Mexico and just opened to the public in 2011? I would not even consider going without contacting Albert Coffee, archeologist found through Trip Advisor. He provided transportation and the best tour experience I have had in Mexico. Do yourself a favor and take this tour if in the area, it was the highlight of my recent trip to the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amzing archeological site! It is still under excavation. The guides of the park are really good in explaining the importance of the site in the Otomí culture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my second visit, and I like it so much the first time I brought my daughter with me this time. but they wouldn't let us into the lowered area, nor to the top of the pyramid. I could do both the first time, but it now appears permanently restricted. Kind of a let-down.
