Very abandoned place.
Very limited information
The map does not explain much and does not mark the distances for example Xethpol group, even after 3 km. Following a muddy path, it was not possible to get there.
It's 12:26 pm and we were the only ones.
Even the one in the booth has already retired.

The place is very beautiful, an archaeological zone not very well known, and to have a great time it is advisable to get an ATV since nearby there is a Mayan village called Houitz and it is worth getting to that place, as well as other gaps that can serve fun and enjoy true nature. In Chacmultún there are 3 pyramid points and they are large, from above you can take incredible photos.

If name means Mounds of red stone, by the material with which adorned the facades of the buildings. It belongs to the so-called Puuc route (mountain range) for its architectural style. It is the least visited, however it is really very beautiful. You feel the adventure since you are a structure on top of a hill that is somewhat remote.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mayan ruins where you can actually get close and inside the buildings, they need some TLC and is a bit far from more popular tourist destinations, for me it was worth the drive since i stop by some grutas along the way

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breath taking culture and history. Nothing matches the beauty of Mayan civilizations, people, customs, food, sharing, agriculture, engineering, architecture. Simply beautiful....
