 It is very nice to be surrounded by nature, it is also very clean and they have put up posters to read the history of the pyramids in both English and Spanish, among other things.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Muy poco conocida o promovida. Nis enteramos de ella solo porque la más conocida El Tajín estaba cerrada. El acceso es dificultoso, por escarpadas brechas rodeadas de monte, naranjos y milpas. Uno termina estacionando en el patio de una familia local y comienza la larga caminata. La vista desde el sitio alto es espectacular.
This archeological site is little known and we only learned about it and ended up visting it because the more famous El Tajin was closed. Access to this site is rather challenging you go on to steep climbs on dirt roads smack in the middle of corn fields, Orange Groves and basically bush.
You will end up parking in the front yard of someone's property and then you'll have to go on foot and start the climb towards the higher vantage point, the view is spectacular

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We liked this place a lot, especially while visiting El Tajin on the same day. While this is much smaller, you get to walk around and explore without large crowds and barriers preventing you from getting close to the pyramids. We liked that there were also signs in various places to inform visitors of the history.
It was just two of us here the entire time. The drive here is mostly through farmland until you get to a dirt road, much of it one lane, that you drive on for only a couple of minutes. There are parking spaces for maybe 2-4 cars but it would be very difficult to get out. The driveway seems to be on a cliff. There is a private residence right in front of the entrance with a very nice and welcoming family.
