A little bit on the higher entry fees (1000MXP for two people with the car) but it is worth it. The area is huge with many structures and buildings in magnificent condition. Also, amazing souvenir shops and not too expensive.

Impressive archeological site very nice to visit. Staff have me a hard time about my backpack to carry water bottles and extra clothing (the sun was certainly harsh), but eventually let it slide. Must see!

I'm giving 2 stars (instead of 1) because the site is beautiful and the architecture astonishing! Unfortunately the rest is bad. First of all the entrance ticket is stupidly expensive. It 466 MXN per person. Never seen anything like this in Mexico before. Then, if you come with a car you also need to pay 80 MXN for parking. It's a real scam and rip off. It's a subtle way of making money out of tourists. For this price you would expect the best level of maintenance and the site to be open. Unfortunately it is not the case. More than half of the site is closed to the public. Some parts are closed for maintenance and some other for COVID. We saw huge open air parts (gardens, lawns, huge wide trails, etc.) closed for COVID. What is the sense there?? It's open air and super large spaces! Does COVID spread faster there??? Then there are just few faded boards throughout the site with a bit of explanation. I think I counted 8 to 10 in the whole site. Each one had just few phrases on it. Really disappointing. I think this site is not worth visiting at all. I also think that each visitor that goes there should complain as we did. Maybe then they would wake up and understand that they cannot scam people like that.

This place was fantastic ! We had multiple visits of Mayan ruins all other Yucatan and this one was definitely in our top 3 ! The buildings are in a very good state of conservation and there is always something to see where your eyes land. The site is also very compact, well organised and easily walkable which makes the visit quite efficient. You don’t get the climb the pyramid of the wizard, too bad ! Despite it size, not many people go to visit it, it allows you to enjoy the scenery without anybody around. Once out of the ruins have a stop at the chocolate museum to complete a perfect half day trip !

Wow! This exceeded my expectations! This site is so well preserved. And large! Not as big as Chichen-Itzá but just as impressive- and nowhere near as crowded. Very well preserved. We’ve taken a tour at nearly every site we’ve gone to and the one given here was by far the most extensive. They take you all over! I loved hearing the different perspectives and being able to have access to different rooms and viewpoints. Worth it! You don’t have to negotiate as there is a stand inside where you can get a tour guide with the prices clearly posted. Try to come in the morning to avoid the heat of midday! There is a town near by where you can get really good tacos! And go to Kankirixche cenote after to cool down.

I know everyone wants to go visit Chichen Itza... and you should, but Uxmal is really amazing! It is a beautiful, well preserved site. You need about 3 hours to explore and soak up all of the history and sun. Here you also get a bit more explanation about each of the structures, you can also explore at your own pace and take some stunning picture. This was really worth the trip! It is 471 pesos for entry ( the entrance of 85 plus the state tax) which is about $23. A few things to note: 1) you cannot use drones here 2) you cannot use your GoPro 3) you cannot use selfie sticks 4) you can only pay in cash and 5) they do not allow you to enter with a backpack. You should bring a shoulder bag for your water, camera, etc. They do have lockers to store your backpack if you didn't drive.

Very interesting place. Definitely worth the trip. Many interesting buildings and great architecture. And no tourists at all. It's like Chichen Iza without people. Quiet and really nice walk. You should spend some time just sitting there. But they closed the most interesting parts of the site. Governance is poor.

Very nice archeological site. The ruins are very beautiful. For me it was nicer then chichen itza because here you have more the feeling you are walking in a city. Due the pandemic you can not see everything and you can only follow 1 direction but it’s still worth to visit it , it’s also not crowded. Price is 461 pesos and you can only pay cash. ATM is available. You can not bring your backpack inside, water is no problem.
