★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonder waiting to be discovered. There are only 2 pyramids and a complex behind the smaller pyramid. Based on the information in the site there still dozens of buildings to be discovered... Sadly government does not provide funding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to bring kids because the pyramids are easy to climb and the site is small. If you stand at the top of one of the high pyramids, you can see the surrounding valleys and understand why this was a site used for defense as it is easy to easy anyone approaching. If you visit, please take your trash! #googleguides #michoacan

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here alone on a Monday. The caretaker was very friendly. The place isn’t as well kept as some other archeological places but the pyramid is quite tall built along the hill. Impressive to see for sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a hidden gem of Michoacan and should not be missed. You feel the presence of the ancestors here and if your lucky can catch the Monarch migration to the nearby sanctuaries in early November.
