ZOOMALO Moving & Storage - 37700 San Miguel de Allende

My husband Phil and I do not give recommendations lightly, but we were blown away by Zoomalo's service. Everything from the packing, to their customer service, to honoring quirky personal requests, to a timely and safe delivery and super-reasonable pricing- at every stage they really surpassed our hopes and expectations. We unreservedly recommend David and Zoomalo if you need to move a household into or out of Mexico!

Got scammed big time in Mexico. Never use Zoomalo or the subcontracted clearing agent FNS to clear your shipment of personal households. TOTALLY INEXPERIENCED, Takes huge amounts of USD to clear your shipment which for me, 5 months later is still not cleared and are now demanding even more $$$ to do so. Every week a new issue AND contradicting facts. They cannot even give me an accountability as to where and how they have used the so far given $40,000.00 usd to them to pay all duties and clearing charges. If there was a NO STAR option that is what they would get from me. This Company and it's management are scammers...

At 69 years of age, I have moved over a dozen times. Zoomalo was by far the best experience of all. From over-the-top front office professionalism to the actual move to the movers themselves (careful, polite and volunteering more than was asked of them). Remarkable low quoted price (same as final. I am nearly 70 years old and have moved over a dozen times throughout my life. Zoomalo provided me with the absolute very best movíng experience ever had, bar none. Breathtaking actually, from the over-the-top professional, friendly and seriously customer-oriented service in their office beforehand to the most incredibly over-the-top and the best ever hands-on movers ever. Damn, those guys were great! Thanks to you one and all! This was by far the best moving experience I have ever had. I cannot praise their service enough. If ten stars was an available option, I would rate them as such. I usually do not gush like this. In fact I rarely write reviews for such services, but this one was so exceptionally good, I had to. It would be criminal not to bring attention to this most perfect moving service. If you live in the San Miguel de Allende area, you can do no better than Zoomalo.

My wife and I used Zoomalo to ship 9 medium size boxes from Cancun to Michigan. The cost was about $1,100.00 dollars for shipping as we packed everything ourselves. The boxes were put in storage as we are still in Mexico, so I can't comment on the condition, but will update this when they have been opened. We moved to San Miguel de allende for 6 months and then had to move back to Cancun. We had some hand made items, clothes and a small mirror we wanted shipped back to the USA, so we went to Zoomalo and dropped them off. We were told that they would be shipped back to Michigan in June. After we moved back to Cancun in early May we received a phone call to verify the address in Michigan as the truck was already in the states. After that we immediately received an email invoice for $450.00 for the two boxes. We called and asked why they were shipped before even being quoted a price and why did we not receive an invoice prior to shipping. Cindy's answer still did not address the problem. She told my wife that they usually don't ship anything below $750.00 , which we were NOT informed of, so my wife asked for a discount for what they did and she gave a flat out NO! I then took my complaint to the owner David, who said I definitely should have received an invoice and he would look into it. Since then I have texted him three times and still I have received no follow up or response. My last text informed him that I did not feel like a valued repeat customer and I wanted a response, still.. no response. This company cannot be trusted. The owner David acts friendly at first, but then just takes your money. Shipping from Mexico is difficult and I have allowed enough time to pass to know that I have been ripped off and lied to by David and his employees. If you use them, you are taking a big risk. Very Unprofessional and Unreliable and extremely expensive. They charge what they feel like with no accountability. Stay away for your own good.

What a great company. When they saw my parents were elderly they squeezed in the move earlier so I could be there to help. Thanks a million. Everything arrived in the UK safe and sound and we were kept informed every step of the way. That original flexibility was a lifesaver - thanks again.

I forgot to leave a review for my experience from last September. I shipped 5 suitcases from Mexico to USA. Everything arrived safe and in tact. This company communicated with me along the process and I saved $200 over the airlines and their competitors. I will definitely use them again in the future.
