Last Saturday night I called Dr David at 9:30pm—he agreed to meet with me. My dog was very ill and she needed immediate attention. We had been seeing a different veterinarian in town, but her symptoms were not improving. Dr David performed surgery that night. Unfortunately, my girl was already too far gone. It’s possible the other veterinarian missed something, as what Dr David suspected was the problem, was actually indicated in her blood work from the other vet. Dr David was extremely compassionate, thorough with the entire exam and surgery. He even offered his assistance in burying her. If you have any problem with your pet—bring him or her here. You will get the best care in Puerto.

I can't express my frustration and anger about this clinic loud enough. We brought in a stray dog. They seemed overwhelmed and incompetent. They did not check our dog for the most obvious deseases any stray could have. We needed to keep reminding them of possibilities and actions (such as taking a simple blood test). They recommended not getting our dog vaccinated as soon as possible but rather sterilizing her. Which we did. That caused various other issues such as different infections. Of course we noticed how our dog was suffering long after the surgery, so we brought her in. They checked her wound and realized that they made a tremendous mistake when operating and did not inform us about how to take care of the wound properly. They would then blame it on us, for taking her home after the surgery instead of leaving her - which they never insisted on doing anyway. They even charged for making up their former mistakes. We also wanted to get her couching checked yet they didn't take us in for that. They told us to wait two more days. Fortunately, we went to a different vet the same day. If he hasn't helped us correcting all these mistakes and taking care of the couching (a serious virus!!!), our dog wouldn't be with us anymore. Fun fact: they wrongly guessed our dogs age (by half of the actual age!!!) and didn't even check her teeth. After all, I blame myself for continuing to go there after I've been watching them how they weight a pet: they don't provide a pet skale instead a person grabs the pet, weights herself with it, drops the pet, does calculation and not even right! They told us 12 Kilo. We later put our dog on a real skale, turned out she is 9.5. Wow.... Don't go there. Your pet deserves so much better!

This veterinary practice refused to help me with a street cat today. She had a badly injured eye and we would have covered all the costs. My Spanish is not very good and the woman at the reception was not very accommodating either. The only thing was that they were rude and laughed at me. The vet stuck his head out of the room for a moment and was also very unsympathetic and not at all interested in a poor animal. Luckily we found another vet who took care of the cat immediately. Unfortunately, the cat lost her eyesight, but at least she was no longer in pain and was in good hands. We have taken over all costs, which is not an issue for us as animal-loving people. It's sad, this practice only exists to make money, but certainly not out of love for the animals.

Amazing experience. They have saved our puppy, and another 2 that we brought in to get adopted. They are reasonably priced but so professional, and lovely with the animals. Juno is so thankful for you saved her life. If you find a dog on the streets, or a puppy you want to save or adopt, these people are the best place to go in Puerto by far.
