We came to this city as tourists, and this 7-eleven store was a couple of paces from our hotel. We went to this store to buy some supplies for the rest of our stay at CDMX, but here's what we got instead. Instead of helping us find what we were looking for, we were at the receiving end of the staff's racist behavior. We were just settling our bill at the cashier when one of the female staff members falsely accused me of stealing something. Without warning, she dug into my pockets and started saying that I had stolen something from the store. She didn't find anything stolen in my pockets, but offered no explanation when I asked what was going on, and instead just smirked at us. It was a violation of my personal space. I asked for an apology for her inappropriate behaviour, but she kept smirking at me. The rest of the staff there were also non-responsive when I asked them for an explanation. I was offended by this behaviour, and returned the items we had purchased. When we asked for our money back, the cashier pretended as if nothing had happened, and told us to wait as he moved on to the next customer behind us. This incident, and the behaviour of the staff at this store, was appalling and unacceptable. Shame on the staff and the management team of this store!
