AC Hotel by Marriott Veracruz - 94293 Boca del Río

Conveniently located on the coast, this hotel offers easy access to several beaches, shopping centers, and main attractions such as the city center. Rooms are clean, spacious, and staff is very helpful. The restaurant has quality food and the bar looks decent.

Booked last minute at midnight. Everything was comfortable. Breakfast was nice. The partial view from the room was pretty.

Perfect treatment in a very clean and save environment. Good food and very friendly personal. Rooms and beds are very comfortable same bathroom big enough and comfortable. Nice and quite Air condition device, works also well over night.

The hotel it's lovely as it has a nice open design, lovely views and allow pets which is a big plus for me. Unfortunately the halls were not cleaned at all during our stay, we got towels with holes and the covers were stained and dirty, it was also almost impossible to get the the staff to answer the phone. Due to the location near to the beach and malls and the low rates, it has everything to be one of the best if only they step up their game with the hygiene and start following the COVID-19 measures.

I used to stay at this hotel before the pandemic, service and hospitality used to be great 5 star. I recently came back and it seems that everything changed. I got charged for late checkout after the representative told us no charged for being a gold Marriot member. They need to clarify their ideas, I have no problem paying.

I was there for an interview, and Lady human resources ask me a lot of questions. Yes, she never give me the position because I was living in the USA for 25 years and this person profile and discriminate against me because I spoke better English than her. She doesn't know I know the Engineering who built the Hotel and Owner please don't go ask for a favor..

Avoid the AC Veracruz Hotel I would have to give this hotel a 0. I am utterly shocked that there are not more terrible reviews. After checking in and immediately realizing the photos on the website are not even close to being accurate I checked and this hotel is listed as a category 1 hotel. If it was all possible I would have found other accommodations but seeing it is Mexico other did not find anything wrong with this hotel. However this hotel should not even be listed under the Marriott brand. If you have visited any AC hotels in the US, most of these properties are brand new and although they have the European style the are clean and well maintained. This property is far from that and is so old, it probably need to undergo structural inspections considering all the cracked mortar on the outside of the building. The pool entry and shower were closed due to needing massive repairs and the water color was not inviting either. Walking through the property you could notice dirt marked on the walls, cracks in the floor towel and the elevator stainless steel looked as if it hadnt been cleaned in weeks. To top it off sitting on the bed to write this review the mattress compresses as if its a 20yr old mattress dressed in all white sheets. On the phone with BonVoy at 12:30am waiting to file a complaint with the Marriott. A supervisor by the name Roy has just taken the call and I begin to tell him about this bed. After speaking he opened a case and advised the property manager would be in touch. I explain that this property condition and maintenance should not be consider a AC brand.
