Really beautiful! Make sure to walk all the way up the Falls to the swimming area. Some safe swimming pools and ropes.

We visited 14 November. Impressive waterfall, but since it rained the day before the water was brown. It was a bit of a stressful experience for us. We had to buy tickets twice, which feels like a scam. Although not that expenive (40 + 25), still feels strange. We drove from Palenque by car 1,5h single trip. We heard the road should be safe during the day. We did encounter several people/kids with ropes over the road. They want to sell something or want money. We didn't give anything but some really insist. So overall beautiful but stressful experience.

Definitely worth the drive. Tons of places to eat and drink. Lots of places to shop. Bathrooms might be a bit dirty.

Amazing waterfalls. Too bad the water was green/blue tough to the rainwater. (Because of the rain season) But overall a sight to behold!

Nice waterfall surounded by way to many souvenir shop. You can walk upstream to see more of it. It's 2h from palenque, the road and landscapes are actually really nice. Don't go there for the only purpose of going there. Do a trip or stop on your way to san Cristóbal or vice vera. Explanation: ⭐ Interest: ⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility: ⭐⭐ Price: ??

The falls are just about picture perfect. However, it's very commercialized. There's a fee (that only tourists in rental cars have to pay!?) to enter the town and there are tons of vendors all along the falls. Even the people who point to where you're already about to jump in and tells you it's ok, want to be paid (they ask politely and are very friendly though). Definitely worth a visit, but it's a good idea to be prepared.

5 stars and a Wow. Worth the horrible bus ride. There are many places to eat. You can swim in a small area of the waterfalls. There are several stalls that sell t shirts and other mementos
