Emmanuel was a recommendation from a friend of mine. We had a free trial lesson first which was really great. Thats why I started the Spanish lessons with him - first personally in Playa del Carmen, later when I was travelling we had the lessons online. Emmanuel is a very patient and very motivating teacher. Every time I was shy or not so confident when speaking, he always found a playful way to encourage me!! Also Emmanuel has a very individual approach to his students. I was surprised how well equipped he was with technical device, both in physical lessons but I also during the online lessons. You will be amazed how fast you will be able to speak and understand Spanish. I have made a great progress - Muchas muchas gracis!

The private lessons with the Ako Language school helped me a lot to improve my spanish skills. The atmosphere of the lessons is really nice. Before I started my lessons with Ako I was able to speak some phrases, not really much. After 5 private lessons I was able to speak small conversations and I felt more comfortable speaking this language. I can highly recommend this school to learn spanish.

The one on one classes with Emmanuel were extremely valuable— especially in getting into the habit of speaking. He did an excellent job assessing my proficiency and adapting each lesson to suit my interests and areas I should focus on. Would definitely recommend taking at least more than 10 classes to notice an improvement!

I would highly recommend Ako Language School to anyone who is looking to learn Spanish, no matter how brief your time in Playa del Carmen may be! From the free trial class, we met at a coffee shop so it was a very casual setting. Emmanuel assessed my current level of proficiency of the language, understood what I was looking to achieve from the classes, and also gave a brief intro lesson. The classes had a great balance of conversation, reading comprehension and grammar, and he spoke at a pace that was easy to follow and understand. It didn’t feel like I was studying, more like learning through conversation, which made it much more fun and enjoyable! He also had many recommendations for things to see and do around the city, including dance classes for those who were interested. Thank you for everything, it was truly a pleasure to learn from you!
