Akuma Tiger Sushi - 77760 Tulum

One word: incredible. It was delicious, on par with London’s best Japanese restaurants. The place is gorgeous too and the owner is such a nice guy

Really enjoyed their sushi here. It's very hard to come across good sushi in Tulum and Akuma did a pretty good job tonight.

Excellent food with some unique combinations of flavors and textures. Great cocktail list. Simple layout that is very shibumi. Definitely worth getting dinner. Overheard they update the menu every three weeks so try it twice!

If I had to pick one restaurant to revisit in Tulum, this is the one. I have a high standard for what I call great sushi after a longer stay in Japan, and am usually more or less disappointed abroad. However, Akuma Tiger rivalled my experience with Japanese sushi joints in both flavour and presentation. The Akuma rolls are very creative, and different - there's a certain Mexican influence. The san, with eel and shrimp, was my favourite. The more economical Tiger rolls (2 for 1) are also very good, you'll be missing out but only a little! The service we received was immaculate; friendly and efficient. Our server asked us if we preferred English or Spanish, and indulged our request to communicate in basic Spanish so we could practice. He took his time to explain the menu and recommend dishes. Thank you for a great experience!

Food and service was excellent. Ambient vibe ,very minimalist and beautiful outdoor seating. Our server luis did everything he could to make our experience exceptional. Eat here.

This sushi is simply amazing. The quality is great, the taste is perfect and incorporates spices perfectly. Everything is served fresh and with a very kind and attentive team. This restaurant is an understatement, very humble with great quality. It’s the best sushi I’ve had so far having eaten sushi across the globe. The place is nice and chill, all in line with the team and music.

I’ve had A LOT of sushi my whole life and I’ll go as far as saying that this sushi is hands down the best I’ve ever had! The reviews honestly speak for themselves. Not to mention the customer service was top notch. We ordered the Shi Roll (insanely good), Nana Roll, Kyu and Pitahaya. We were assisted by the owner (Luis) and another server who were both very down to earth and welcoming. If you’re in Tulum, or even if you’re not, it’s worth the drive!! Incredible food and service!
