I am a native English speaker, and I have tried learning a second language several times in the past, to no avail. I had studied at two different Spanish schools in Mexico before I found Cliff at Amistad. Cliff is incredibly passionate about world languages, particularly Spanish; and his passion for his work makes his teaching style that much more amazing. I have struggled in the past with immersion classes because it was always difficult to get detailed answers to my questions (particularly when the teacher would only answer in Spanish). Cliff was able to answer every single question I had about the complexities of Spanish grammar, spelling, and pronunciation, and he did a perfect job at claryfing "why" certain confusing grammer rules exist. I am still very much a begginer at Spanish, but I feel like I am finally starting to understand how to construct sentences and convey meaning effectively. I really think it would have taken me months to figure out on my own what Cliff taught me in a single week. For anyone truly wanting to grasp an intricate and detailed understanding of the Spanish language, Cliff is your guy! Although I have to leave Mexico now to embark on more travels through Latin America, I will deffinitely be staying connected with Amistad through their online classes while I continue building my knowledge of the Spanish language. I just finished a three week Spanish immersion class and what a wonderful experience! The knowledge and foundation that was given by these teachers will help me as I continue to learn the language. I would highly recommend this school if anyone wants to learn the language. Don’t hesitate, just jump right in and they will make you feel comfortable and confident in your skills.

I wasn't sure I could learn Spanish until Amistad Spanish School. After almost a year of nomading in Mexico and Central America I hadn't picked up nearly the amount of Spanish I had hoped. I finally signed up for a class at Amistad and after just a few weeks I'm feeling more confident than ever. Cliff was an amazing and professional teacher that was patient and understanding! We decided to start with 2 lessons just to get the basics and were blown away with how easy Cliff made learning Spanish, so we decided to continue taking lessons for over 2 months. If you're looking for some great 1-1 private lessons, look no further!
