Anah Suites Tulum - Chetumal

Well manicured and private living quarters. Everything was perfect and I felt extremely safe here and at home. Highly recommended and will stay here again.

Stayed there using an Airbnb account. our unit lacked maintenance. Toilet seat was falling off. Only one person could shower at a time because the water would run out. They charged us for the sheets as we left because there was a little blood on them and we were told they don't have the facilities to wash the sheets properly.

We rented our suite via AirBNB and we would not rent these again. A few reasons, but the main reason is that they made us feel mortified and upset on our last day there. Upon check out, we had to PAY FOR OUR DIRTY BEDSHEETS. THE GOOD The complex is just a few years old, modern design and decor. Units were immaculately clean except for some harmless little insects. No hairdryer or toaster in the units but we requested them from the front desk and they were brought promptly. No water kettle but they have free bottled water in the unit. THE BAD The suites are far away from the Bahia Resort itself and from the beach or closest town. There is a trolley that goes around the resort but you need to walk a fair distance to reach that. We highly recommend a car because the bus is inconvenient and taxis are expensive. Nothing is walkable from there. Very basic kitchen supplies so don't expect to make a gourmet meal here. Closest real grocery store (called Chedraui) is a 15 min drive away. The closest town of Akumal has small convenience stores with limited groceries and barely any fresh fruits or vegetables. THE UGLY Non-responsive to any concerns and lied about access to specific resorts. We asked Anah Leasing specifically if we had access to Bahia Principe Coba because we had family that was staying there for a wedding. We needed access to Coba otherwise we wouldn't have booked the place. We were told that we would have access and "there would be no problem seeing our family". Upon arrival, we discovered that this was not true at all. We only had access to Tulum and Sian Kaan. We had to pay an extra $60 USD per person per day for access to Coba. With two of us, that adds up, so we may as well have stayed elsewhere for that price! When we messaged them upon check in to voice this concern, no reply. No word from them during our entire stay. Then on the day of check out, my period came and I got a bit of blood on the bedsheets. They checked the room upon check out and they said we had to pay for the dirty sheets, otherwise we would not get our $300 USD deposit back. You can imagine how mortified and upset I was. What rental charges you for essentially normal wear and tear? It's not like the small stains could not be bleached out (really, it was mild enough that detergent would have done it. It was not frank blood everywhere), but even if they couldn't, it's a normal (and embarrassing) human incident. For example, if I rented a car and got a bit of ketchup on the seat, would the car rental make me buy the whole car seat? In our years of travelling, we have never had a hotel or rental make us pay for getting the sheets dirty. Anyway, my partner said it wasn't worth the fuss and we didn't want to waste our day arguing with them so we paid it. It's not even about the money. The entire incident was just wrong. So I would not stay here again and not recommend it to anyone. There are many better options closer to the town or the beach and they don't make you buy your own used bedsheets.

Nice location, well maintained common areas, 24h reception, half way to Tulum and half way to Playa del Carmen, the apartments are well decorated and spacious.

Relaxing C301 Penthouse with Rooftop Pool. Rentable as 1 Bedroom with rooftop terrace, 2 bathrooms and private roof pool that affords views of the Caribbean Sea , OR as a 1 Bedroom hotel type unit with its own refrigerator, microwave, safe, and small terrace overlooking a courtyard. OR available as a 2 Bedroom Penthouse with 3 bathrooms that can sleep 5-6 people. Located in a quiet part of Bahia Principe, but walkable to Sian Kaan Resort, or simply take a people movers to any of the 4 Bahia Principe Resorts, and beach area. Cook for yourself or take advantage of the many excellent restaurants on site. My wife and son and I just had an outstanding experience at the Maiko Japanese Restaurant last night December 11. Sake and all. The internet can be inconsistent, but is available most of the time. It is beautiful here, wildlife is plentiful. The staff is available and friendly. A rental car is nice, but other transportation is available and affordable. Update: Stayed here again in C301, 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom penthouse in November 2018. During the day we visited Tulum, Tulum Mayan ruins, Coba ruins-climbed it, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel, a few restaurants on the beach road, a cenote. We went to shows and entertainment at night at the various Bahia Principe resorts: they usually run between 8 and 10 pm every night. Just have to wear your guest wrist band.

What a beautiful complex. Inside the Bahia Principe. We rented a 2 br 2 bath condo on the first floor. Had all the amenities one could ask for, fully stocked kitchen and pool with swim up bar. Security is at the top of my list and ive never felt in safer hands. Definitely staying here again.

· Horrible property, On arrival the area smelt of sewage Loads of insects around property entrance, hadn't been cleaned at all No reception or anyone to help when arriving at the property. had to call the property to send someone and wait. On getting there, first issues with the water. cloudy bubbly sewage water running from the tap. unusable to even wash hands. Then both sinks upstairs and downstairs were blocked. and thinking things couldn't get worse, the toilet didn’t flush. Immediately messaging the property. the property ignored my request to cancel or move till the next and charged me for the night when I couldn’t even use the facilities to shower, wash my hands, cook, use the toilet, etc. They lied I’d be issued a full refund if I left before my stay ended. Which I did. And then they ignored all my calls for a refund

Nice development on the jungle side of 307. 15 minutes to the beach. Lots of bugs, giant spiders etc. Not our ideal place to stay. Might be cool for a retired golfer to stay as it us right near the PGA golf center and course. Well kept grounds and security is very good. If your looking for ocean views and great beaches this is not it.
