Aquanauts Dive Shop - 77750 Puerto Aventuras

This dive shop is great! My family has been diving with them every year since 2011 and we have always had a wonderful experience. My dad and I did our certification through them and Nick was an amazing instructor, very patient and knowledgeable. If you're diving in Puerto Aventuras, this is the place to go through.

Great dive shop! New owners Robyn & David are great people and very friendly. Monica & Max were outstanding instructors and boat captain. My daughter worked with Monica on her junior open water certification and felt very comfortable with the checkout dives and Monica’s attention to detail. Very professional and no rush attitude made this dive shop one of my favorites. Would definitely be using them again! David Potts

We had an amazing cave diving experience with our guide Monica, it felt like we had been friends for years. She even took us to a local taco shop on the way back to our hotel. Aquanauts staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We have gone on 4 dives with them (in 2019) thus far and plan to return in November 2020. Thank you Aquanauts!!!!

Much nicer and much cheaper than the Pro Dive Shop at the Dreams Resort. I had a wonderful dive at the Dos Ojos cenotes with Monica. She was incredibly knowledgeable and took great care of me and the one other diver on the trip. I almost didn't go on a dive after my poor experience at Pro Dive (they wanted to make me do a local dive before the cenotes dive and they also wanted $200 more), and I'm so glad I walked the 15 minutes over to Aquanauts.

One of the best dive shops I've dealt with so far. Extremely professional, well-organized and safety-driven, while being oriented towards the best quality and awesome diving. Crescent is super attentive and able to plan custom packages, and also flexible according to changing plans. They have quality instructors, they don't skip PADI safety (which was reassuring after several carribean-central America not so great experiences), all the while making sure I could enjoy the best possible experience for a last-minute diving trip. Definitely recommend 5 stars hands down. Already planning next diving trip with Aquanauts in a few months, this time with my 10 year old who will be getting her open-water certification with them, complete confidence that she will be in good hands.

After my last dive and subsequent treatment in a chamber in November 2020, I swore I would never dive again. That lasted about a month. Then it became, well, it was my own fault for ignoring the billion red flags and I wasn't going to let 1 terrible company ruin something I was so passionate about. I set out on a search to find a GOOD company with experienced, knowledgeable and professional instructors. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Robin at Aquanauts. I shared with her my apprehensions and fears over what had previously happened. She assured me she had the proper fitting equipment and the best DMs in the area and when I was ready, she would be happy to set me up in her pool to try ease back into things. In July 2021, we returned to the area and I let her know I was ready to give it a go. She had me work with Emilio in the pool for 3 hours to practice and gain my confidence back. After that, I was ready for a dive! I will likely not do another deep dive and the shop, DM, everyone on the boat knew it was going to be my first trip back down since the accident and everyone was more than supportive and encouraging, even the other divers. I had one of the best dives ever and I cannot thank Robin and Emilio enough. Emilio stayed within a few feet of me the entire dive to ensure that I was comfortable and having a great experience. My experience aside, this is a top notch center. Very laid back in a sense but also very customer orientated. The entire crew is dedicated to having a fun, safe and memorable dive. Need help with your gear or weights? No problem. Don't like to climb back on board after an hour dive with all your gear on? No problem, you hand up your BCD before you get back into the boat. I also have a fused ankle and the captain was more than willing to help me get on the edge of the boat for the roll back. I really cannot say how grateful I am that Aquanauts made it possible for me to return to diving after such a horrific experience.

I can't say enough about how amazing this shop is to use for diving and exploring Mexico! I found Aquanauts though the recommendations of fellow divers and gave them a call. From just one conversation with Crescent, all my questions were answered and we were off on a great partnership to create an amazing trip not just for my diver husband and myself, but my larger family who were nondivers coming to Mexico to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Crescent worked with my husband and I to find the safest weather and best locations for our diving adventures. We are both new divers, me being very anxious as well. The dive masters were amazing and helped us both improve our skills with every dive. We even went outside our comfort zone a bit at their recommendation and tried a cenote dive which was an amazing experience! For our larger group, Crescent helped me even plan land tours to help create lifelong memories for the rest of my family. It's not easy to please 13 people, but everyone left smiling and raving about all the amazing adventures we got to experience. Crescent helped us coordinate all kinds of tours including ruins tours, turtle snorkeling, cenote swims, shopping, and a visit to a monkey sanctuary. We even got to cross off seeing whale sharks from our bucket list! If you're visiting Mexico to dive, use this shop. If you're coming with family or friends who are not divers, still use this shop! They are true locals and will make you feel like family while you're there. We can't wait to go back again!

Searched for a dive shop near the hard rock prior to our trip down. Wanted to dive myself, but more importantly wanted to get my 10 & 12 year olds in the water for their first dives. Found Aquanauts and after a few emails with Robyn everything was setup. They picked us up from the hotel and got us all squared away. Monica was really great working with the kids doing a discovery dive. Super patient and friendly. The boat crews were also great. Really quick trip out to the reef for awesome diving. The kids even wanted to come back for a second day of diving with Monica which says it all!
