★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our favorite beach hangout! on Playa La Madera. Great beach food, service and at night they set up a romantic beach restaurant service. Food is terrific. "Mummy shrimp" was a special treat we discovered on our last day ... well be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Is not a high end bungalow , but is comfy, near to the beach and personnel very kind, a couple of stair flights to go down , yet a good excercise , try the seafood stuffed pineapple , quite tasty

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, rustic Mexican style suites with large balconies, kitchen inside suite or outdoors on large patio, great chef at beach restaurant, hotel staff knock themselves out to please, great value and ideal place to hang on the beach with two restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don't feel like cooking, live music. the lapping waves, warm water, and seaside paved paths make for enjoyable walks even if a little bumpy in spots. There are no elevators so be prepared to walk up to street and down to suite and beach. We didn't mind at all, great exercise. This hotel is a great find, locally owned and family members help provide services. We noticed constant attention to keeping the hotel areas clean and it is clear there is pride of ownership here. We have had a very enjoyable stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place with super friendly staff. They (especially Ricardo) really helped with some problems we faced. Although we expected to have a better view of the sea, and the room (semi-view room) could use some repainting, it was very practically located with direct access to the beach. Unfortunately, we had an incident for which we did not want to complete our stay, the hotel staff helped us with fitting solutions. Thank you Arena Suites.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a bad experience with this place that makes it impossible for me to recommend it to anyone. Due to COVID and other issues, I was forced to cancel a 10-day stay at this place. I was told my deposit would be refunded in 10 to 14 days. It's now been nearly two months and all I've gotten are apologies and excuses followed by silence. All I can assume is that they've decided to keep my money and renege on their promise of a refund. There are a lot of great places to stay in Zihuatanejo. I would put Arena Suites at the bottom of the list.
