Super slow service because they only had 1 waiter and 1 chef. Very good salad, guac and calamari appetizers but too slow to wait for dinner. We brought our own wine ($15 corkage) and the bill was US $150 before tip. Arca is way better. Just remember to reserve a week out. When leaving, I asked about hotel pricing. They said beach view was $500 USD, which sounded incredibly expensive given the cleanliness of the place. it was cute but way too rustic for that price.

Great, cozy hotel. Our room (beach front 204) was very spacious, with beautiful ceiling and terrace. The hotel is very small, but it has everything you need for a repaxing vacation on the beach. There are small swiming pool and restaurant on the territory. The food, coktails and wine was very good every time. The breakfast was nice too, they offer morning meal basics: crossants, eggs with sausage, bacon, yogurt with granola and fruits, the only problem I had was the absence of non dairy milk and gluten free bread, but I think you can contact them and request it. Everyone who works at the hotel was super friendly and accomodating, one of the owners Cris is a great guy, he made sure we had amazing stay. Everyone at the hotel does it best to provide guests with great service. There are 2-3 star reviews that say it is not a luxury hotel, well it is not becuase it is 3.5 star but for Tulum standards it is 4 star, Tulum in general is not about lavish hotels, its about relaxation and luxury of being in piece with yourself and nature. Arenablue is perfect hotel for Tulum and for someone who wants to enjoy beach and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean or reading a book in the hammock on the terrace with a glass of wine. P.S. There are no TV in rooms, which I was very happy about, and no minibars which seemed a liitle inconvinient in the beggining, but they will give you as much ice as you want so it is manageble, and makes the hotel even more charming with minimum electronic devices in the rooms, but good WiFi.

Unfortunately, I was unable to complete my stay due to issues with my flight. I tried contacting the hotel myself several times and no one ever answered the phone. I booked my stay through Orbitz, and they tried numerous times with no answer on their end either. This is customer service 101. Answer the phone. Ultimately, after finally reaching the hotel via email, they choose not refund even a portion of my stay and only offered 2 “free” nights at some point in the next 6 months. Seeing as I actually paid already, this isn’t free at all. I checked the hotel before I left for my trip and they had multiple rooms open. My cancellation didn’t affect their business in the least. This is a big loss on my end and I’m extremely disappointed. They say customer satisfaction is important, however this entire experiences proves that is not the case.

THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE I posted this review few days ago and somehow it got deleted!!! I don’t know how, but I will be keep posting it until Public really knows what this place is about. I just came back from Tulum and want to share my HORRIBLE experience with Arena Blue Hotel. I came with a group of 4 other girlfriends, and we rented 3 separate rooms. The Hotel itself is Ok, nothing fancy, but what I really want to share with anyone who would put a thought into choosing this pace – DO NOT!!! BECAUSE THEY ARE THIEVES!!! On the last night of our stay all 3 rooms discovered that Cash Money is missing from Safe Boxes. All 3 safe boxes in all 3 rooms!!! No, it was not left open by us, and it was not broken, all 3 boxes were locked when we discovered that money is missing. They took total of $1,400 USD. It is so obvious that the stuff that has main key to all safe boxes came to our rooms and took the cash. They knew that our entire group left rooms, they actually told us where to go for lunch, and when we came back, we discovered the loss. Of course we called the police, but it was so pointless, the Policeman was laughing into our faces, refused to provide us with the Police Report, refused to collect finger prints, told us that we have to drive to Police Station and make a report there, and stated that he knows Management personally. We all felt that this police man is just getting his share from stolen money. The Hotel Management also refused to help, we were demanding to speak with the Owner of Hotel, and all they told us was that He is away on vacation. THIS IS CRAZY. We all felt unsafe in this place, and couldn’t wait until we can leave. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD, SAFE and STRESS FREE stay in Tulum, DO NOT CHOOSE Arena Blue.

Nice view and good location. But, when I stayed in March 2019 for 2 nights. Problem was that they charged $1500 in July for some random amount. And then tried charging another $800 in August. I had to call my bank to file a claim. Tried getting in contact with hotel everyday and no dice. Be carfeul seems like they keep credit card info and charge people extra hoping no one notices. I bet some people don't even notice.

Such a fabulous little hotel. The entire staff is extremely attentive which makes you feel like you are in a home away from home. Monica, the hotel manager, gave us a very personal check-in experience. Monica walked my partner and I to our room and explained all the amenities the hotel included. Monica also walked the common area during breakfast time and checked in with us to see how our stay was every morning we were at the hotel, she is so lovely! The hotel has amazing access to the beach, you can hear the waves of the ocean as you sleep. Take a shot, its great!

Beautiful space right next to the beach. Each room has a different view so make sure to check them out. We had a fantastic hammock overlooking the water. The staff was very nice and attentive, the complimentary breakfast was lovely and they will serve it to you in room or on the beach. The food was great too!

The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean, the views from the room were INCREDIBLE, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. It was fantastic being steps away from the water and the beach was nice and clean. Shout out to Cecilio for being a gracious host! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
